Order #s were sequential until Aug 2020. Order 6668 would have been 2/13 or 2/14 of 2019.

His number is out of line compared to those listed in @skyote thread "find your preorder number and post it here!" Thats the first one I have noticed that didn't match up?

Yep, @AdamL is the lowest I've seen. I have 1472 also from 11/26/18, and it was up to 2495 by 11/30/18.

I have to assume there were a number of tests, and possibly some employee orders prior to opening to the public 11/26/18.

Then subtract 1000. This method only works if you ordered prior to April '19-ish...;

I am also an 11/26/2018 order date (a BIG day for Rivian. I believe that was the initial 'press day' prior to the opening of the LA Auto show to the public where Rivian made their debut).

My order number is 1351. It will be interesting to see whether all of the 11/26/18 orders are contacted by the guides on the same day.

11/26/18 was specifically the R1T reveal, and the R1S came a day later on 11/27/18. I specifically waited until after the R1S reveal to reserve mine, but still consider it a Day 1 reservation even though someone theoretically could have reserved a R1T on the 26th and later switched to a R1S. I certainly expect all R1T reservations from 11/26/18 to be at the very top of the list to be contacted, and the R1S contacts probably won't start for several weeks after that.

Our numbers are pretty close (mine is 1307). Seeing you are located in Atlanta, I read a comment on YouTube from somebody who said they were interviewing for a field specialist role in Atlanta who indicated that they expect initial deliveries in Georgia to start in July.

Thanks for that tidbit regarding Georgia deliveries! Looking forward to hearing something from them soon.

After further thought, regarding contact from the guides, it seems more likely that initial contact may be prioritized by geographic location rather than by order number. This would make sense from an efficiency standpoint of setting up test drives and deliveries. So whichever region has the highest number/concentration of Launch Edition orders, could be the first ones to be contacted. Who knows. ?‍

I placed my reservation in February of 19. I configured on the first day of availability and have updated the color once. This whole process has been an exercise in patience (not my strong suit).
Getting my truck by mid July would be awesome but I think September seems more likely as the color I chose (Compass Yellow) is likely to be in a later batch due to less demand. Of course I would love to be wrong unless it's even later.

This is why I think when people were trying to say you can figure out your order number is incorrect, and you are a perfect example! Code and Theory who created their website says that they had 3670 orders on April 1st, 2019. If you use the formula that was said to use for early order, you would be 5158-1000 = 4158. But since you ordered well before April 1, 2019 and they only had 3670 orders, this does not make sense at all. I believe there are A LOT LESS pre-orders than people think, and being that Rivian is so secretive on when a guide will contact you and when you will receive delivery, I don't think you will ever find out what your order number truly is.
