  1. Dual-Motor Rivian R1T first test drive review: "It’s the Same Picture" (Motortrend)

This exactly. I have the same need for a truck for hauling stuff and occasional yard projects. At the time, I had a 1997 F150 which fullfilled that roll. It was also my daily driver that I used to commute to work. But I really wanted something more sporty for fun. Of course I couldn't give up...
  2. Rivian R1T Convertible (RHD!) Spotted in Kenya!

Yes. Likely an April Fools joke. Check the date OP posted. Ha!
  3. R1 issues for new owners

Honestly, it's hard to remember since I've had it at the service center several times over as many months. Once a month on average for a variety of "early adoption" issues. Thus far I am undeterred, but it's beginning to get a bit tedious. My recollection is that it was due to a low voltage...
  4. Outside temp reads too high?

Yes, this is true. I am hoping that it can be recalibrated in a future software update. I have compared the difference between the R1T and my Raptor and RX350. R1 is consistently 5 to 8 degrees F higher than the others (which are usually both the same). Not a big deal, but definitely not an...
  5. OTA 39.3 Released [Added: Video of Halloween Theme]

Other forum strings have surmised that 39.3 was pushed to resolve various issues broken by 39.1. Unsubstantiated. Others have stated that if "it ain't broken" you will not receive the 39.3 update. 🤷‍♂️
  6. OTA 39.3 Released [Added: Video of Halloween Theme]

Yes, same here. Updating (again) now. FWIW, 39.3 was supposed to fix the bricking of the compressor which occurred after 39.1. It did not (for me) fix this. Perhaps a reloading of 39.3 is intended to resolve this (?). Will advise.
  7. 39.1 OTA bugs (compressor, audio controls, etc.)

Thanks for the reply. Ticket filed last week. Service visit skd in 2 weeks.
  8. 39.1 OTA bugs (compressor, audio controls, etc.)

As far as I can tell, the release notes for 39.03 are exactly the same as the release notes for 39.01. Which is strange and why I thought 39.03 only added the Halloween mode. Anyone with 39.3 see any differences in the release notes?
  9. Front suspension drops overnight

Yes, it has happened occasionally after sitting unused for a day or two. I've never measured it, but would guess it's only an inch or less and uniformly on both sides. Not lopsided. I've attributed this to a slow leak or perhaps a change in ambient air pressure (?). Not sure, but it's not...
  10. 39.1 OTA bugs (compressor, audio controls, etc.)

Yup, that makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up! Now, to figure out what changed with the 39.3 update.
  11. 39.1 OTA bugs (compressor, audio controls, etc.)

No kidding? Orange lights and spooky sounds too? I could be mistaken but I don't think that stuff showed up until 39.3. In fact, those are the only differences from 39.1 that I could find.
  12. Anyone have multiple key fobs?

I had my R1T in for service earlier this month and they offered to update the firmware on the keyfob while they were fixing the other stuff. After the fob firmware update the R1T now wakes up when I approach the vehicle with the fob (lights blink, suspension pressurizes).
  13. Key cards stopped working after latest update

Same here. Also key band no longer works. Not sure how long this has been going on. Sending R1T to the service center Nov 10 for this plus other issues.
  14. 39.1 OTA bugs (compressor, audio controls, etc.)

Yes. Received 39.1 last week. Kneel mode is great but air compressor no longer works (display is blank/does not run). Loaded 39.3 yesterday. Compressor still INOP. Seems like the only changes from 39.1 are that Scary Gary has a new costume, orange interior accent lights, and owl and wolf howl...
  15. Has Driver Plus improved a lot since the first vehicles?

Agree. It worked much better 2 updates ago. The update before last was terrible. My experience was actually a bit unnerving as it would occasionally move rapidly back and forth as if it were hunting for the center of the lane. As a result, I stopped using it. Very unnerving. The latest update...
  16. Software Spotlight Version 2022.27.02 -- Official Rivian Feature

Same here. I've been using Driver+ exclusively on the highway for a few months now and have been very pleased with all aspects including the lane centering which has been very precise after the first OTA. Prior to the first OTA, D+ was occasionally a bit squirrely. I had it on the highway since...
  17. Using my R1T, an Adventure in trying it out as a Work Truck. (my initial review w/ pics)

Yup, it happens, even to a beat up 24 yr old Ford with a 6 1/2 ft bed. The kid loading the mulch said "All I did was tap the window with the bucket. I can't believe it broke so easy!". The mulch yard paid to replace the back window so no biggie for this truck, but would I risk it with the tiny...
