    Agreed, that sound way to excessive. I just wouldn't even know what this would be worth. I know I have $1k tied up since December of 2018. Also, I remember being told that I can switch between R1T and R1S still keeping the launch edition.

    To put it simply, there are more Rivian vans in that hands of Amazon than there are R1Ts in the hands of pre-order holders. For every battery, computer (or any other shared component) that goes into the van will delay the delivery of a pre-order holder. That is a fact.

    I don't know why everyone is arguing about this. Delivery as it refers at least to the car industry is when the title changes hands to the owner. So it is only considered delivered once paperwork has been signed and you legally own the vehicle.

    First mention I have heard of location and other factors was the email of about 2 month ago. When I put my deposit down in 2018 I was basically told first come, first served.

  14. What's the point of "Launch Green" if you're not going to launch with it??

    I can say that's not the case. I have a Launch Green with Green interior and live in Simi Valley with a 2018 order date. Another forum member has blue/black, also Live in Simi Valley with a 2019 order date. He was contacted already and I was not. Seems that color does have more to do with it.
