I understand that reasoning but it's kind of messed up to put someone who reserved on day one behind people who reserved more recently -- what is the point of the reservation process if it doesn't give someone priority?

It is because on that reservation I am willing to bet he put NOT INTERESTED in launch. All who answered that say Dec 2026-Feb 2027.

Curious to see how many premium they make without LiDAR now.

I actually went in and told them I didn't want the launch edition on my second one today. But I also put my GMC lease on it that doesn't run out until August next year.

My plan is to use this reservation for the tri-motor R2 whenever that comes out. Dual is awesome so far, but it could hit a lot harder at a complete stop.

Huh. I got the same timeframe... but ordered within first 15 minutes. So I guess being an R1 owner doesn't really mean as much as we were all thinking.

Reservation placed roughly 10:06 am CST on 3/7/2024. Currently R1S owner and live 3.3 miles from the service center. On a side note, how many Rivians does Dark-FX own?

I’m really curious to know whether people stated they are/are not interested in the launch edition and whether they have leases expiring. I stated interested but no lease expiring. I live about 45 minutes from 2 SCs. No previous R1 ownership. Window is November-December 2026.

Too. Many.

PPS, something I haven't seen mentioned before. The R2 launch green seems to be a bit more saturated than the '23 launch green R1S is. The app seems to agree, because they aren't the same in the app either.

It think it has to be SC related. We own an R1S Launch Edition, April 2024 reservation for R2, but an hour and 40 minutes to the closest SC. Nov-Dec '26 invite estimate.
