Fair point sounds like you are speaking from experience! Sometimes what you don't know can't hurt you I guess.
Relax buddy. I am an investor in the company and pending recipient of a vehicle. I personally am aloud to have an opinion that I think it is ridiculous for them to try to tell you...
That is my opinion, it is your car your choice. I think doing “body work” to a brand new car is crazy. Personally I would want something off the line without blemishes if I’m paying $70k+.
Couldn’t agree more, you will get a lot of push back on this because to a lot of people here Rivian can...
Was this a brand new order? Wow, this feels like traditional car dealer nonsense. Then they gaslight you by saying a replacement could have damage in transport. Sounds like they are refusing to be responsible for THEIR side of the business. That hurts to hear from this company.
Hey I agree they did a good job hiding it. Still is an eye sore to me. But like I said I’m particular. People complain about the “notch” on the iPhone it’s a similar thing here. Just goes against the architecture of the design in my opinion. Looks like a 99 civic brake light notch in the rear...
Sounds like natural progression which is good news given many VINs have been assigned with little movement. Best of luck hope your number gets called soon!
No one knows for sure but most say HIGHLY UNLIKELY. My opinion is 99% chance of NO it will not be on any launch editions. This is based on manufacturing difference in the middle of a run. Expectation would be MY 2028 (available in 2027) which I personally would think launch is done by then. But...
I know this scares me, but better to happen now and work out whatever is going on. Many rumors on batteries etc. out there who knows what is true. Surprisingly Rivian is able to keep tight lipped whereas if this was a legacy OEM we would know what is going on. Too many leaks lol.
Sigh, the...
Hot take but the LiDAR in the photo in the thread IS ugly. I know I put far too much into a cars appearance because the cars I see most folks comparing to the R2 in this forum are all UGLY (BMW, Volvo, etc.) They all look like hatchback/mini van cross overs, super ugly to me. The R2 is a shining...
Now that we have our estimated timelines (subject to change obviously) do we think the lottery is over? We know Rivian threw random late reservations in to help calculate the conversion rate. Do we think they will continue to do so or now that they have the data they want they will moreso follow...
It is because on that reservation I am willing to bet he put NOT INTERESTED in launch. All who answered that say Dec 2026-Feb 2027.
Curious to see how many premium they make without LiDAR now.
Thank you for your insight this makes sense. Wasn’t ready for an EV back when R1 came out this will be my first so I’m excited. Sad I didn’t get into line sooner I will be excited to test drive in June though!
Anyone familiar with how the configurator worked with the R1? I’m a late reservation just trying to understand if it will give you timelines based on different options (I.e. since I’m late would going coastal cloud not delay me since I’m late anyway?). Or is is just pick your options then you...
