Gotcha. I guess this is not something that they can fix via a software update. Has anyone tried to soundproof that thing? When it's on, it sounds just as loud and similar in tone to the turn signal sound; sometimes it makes me think I’ve turned my blinkers onThis is normal unless it's running constantly. Anything that adjusts suspension height (changing drive modes, or the "kneel" setting) will make it happen more often, but it's going to happen on most/all drives anyway due to factors others have noted - your car has an active suspension and the air tank needs to be kept pressurized for it to function properly.
"A louder and more distinctive back up sound would be better too"2nd you on number 3.
I too have had a close call with a child on a Segway. Pedestrian was not detected by sensors and the camera view is too narrow to be useful.

I had the same issue with my X7. I think it's just the nature of the 360 camera, unless they install separate cameras on the roof of the vehicle for a true 360 view without distortion. For the 360 degree view, adjust the image so we don't look like we're in a canyon. Anything on either side of the vehicle is displayed as unusually tall. Parking next to a garbage can makes the garbage can look 10 feet tall. Seems like that should be fixable via software.
I've noticed that too; the highway assist is not consistent. I drive on the same highway every day, and sometimes it works, while other times I receive the unavailable message.Tell me WHY highway assist is not available.
Related but larger: enable lane keeping on undivided highways and just plain old roads.
I'd give up some range for a smoother ride in a heart beat.Yeah, I will say, with the new 20" AS/AT option, which I know is the base option, I actually feel like it covers all the bases of comfort of ride and utility, even at the expense of a tiny bit of range loss.
Try the highest lowest settings thing someone mentioned here. May just be the nature of the S as my Gen1 T ride is very good and unsettled over everything in 12K miles.I'd give up some range for a smoother ride in a heart beat.
I tried that with no luck improving the ride quality. Some people report noticing an improvement, but I’m convinced it’s just a mind game since you set the car to the lowest and firmest setting. After driving for 20+ miles and then switching back to the normal ride, it feels softer, obviously.Try the highest lowest settings thing someone mentioned here.
