I was hoping when I replace my R1T in 15 years that it would be with a car with a solid state battery. But at this rate probably not. It's been 5 years away for the last 15 years with no sign of being producible at scale.

Not to worry.. Toyota is perpetually solving the Solid State battery issue! They solved it once again just last week IIRC ?
