Regarding the screens that show detailed vehicle status, if you take your Rivian off road at all many of these features are very useful. Most people might see a gravel road as off road, but for those of us that drive through mountains, canyons and creeks for work or play, those details are very helpful. This is an "adventure" vehicle disguised as a grocery getter after all.I'm just speculating. I could absolutely be wrong. And I hope I am, because I agree with you completely-this widget is not useful for daily driver. However, I think Rivian's cherished Rebelle Rally is the reason - a race that relies on manual navigation. They are even using this display in the photos...

Either way I'm thrilled with that update! Tracking from start of a drive would be great for calculating things. Or just general logging of commutes. The lifetime trip tracker is great but not helpful if you are trying to plan a trip and don't want to factor in vampire drain or winter/summer numbers. It sounds like trip data will be in the new gauge view. Not sure if it will persist from drive-to-drive until reset (like a traditional trip meter) or if It will only display data from the current drive.
. Would love to have a This Drive auto oneHikers and cyclists want to know the total ascent, and how much longer to the top of the hill or mountain. I use altitude to help locate my position on a trail, so that would also apply to driving on a trail.I thought it was going to be an altimeter function. My Garmin GPS has this feature. I don't quite understand why vertical feet traveled would be of interest and under what circumstances. Is this something you would set at the bottom of a hill and measure the vertical distance to the top? Is this something that off roaders need to know?

Ugh, I'm tired of repeating myself (as I've been posting about this a bit too much lately, and I've been against CarPlay/AA for forever)...but of the things Rivian has either promised or every other vehicle at its price-point has:
- Quad-zone climate control
- Off-road mapping (I was very excited when RJ said to a group that Rivians would automatically map trails the owners drove on, and those trail maps would be shared through their mapping system to all Rivians. Obv hasn't happened)
- Usable traffic re-routing and/or a decent map/nav system
- Video streaming of any sort
- Apple Music and/or Google music (or whatever the hell app they list that under now)
- Text message support
- HUD (obv not a software implementation that can address that)
- Blind spot camera when blinker is on
- Lane change with Driver+
- Auto-park
- Clock and temp where the driver can actually see them
- Geolocation for things like mirror folding and suspension height adjustment
- USB media player
- Satellite radio (not even something I'd use, but I know lots of people like it)
- Ability to view the camera feed that looks over the bed
- Ability to set which wheels are on the truck without needing a service center visit
This is all just off the top of my head. I'm sure I could double the list if I went through threads in here and Reddit to see everything that's been said is coming or that lots of people have asked for
Does not look like it probably anytime between now and middle of next week.Has this started rolling out yet?
Thank you! I wanna try out Halloween mode.Does not look like it probably anytime between now and middle of next week.
Two people on electrify.com have it.Has this started rolling out yet?
Towing mode is reasonably useful.Hmmm, pretty minor update. I mean it has a lot of small things, UI tunes, etc. Thought we would get some good functionality this Summer like text message integration, +music options, etc. Will be interesting to check out Halloween mode - wondering why we still don't color ambient light configs if turns out color is possible again for all of us.
