HAHAHAHAHAHAH my Rivian's UX was better than that of my Audi's that's only a year older when I took delivery September of 22 and it's just gotten better since.
You can both be right. Our Rivians are missing some features, like resume for cruise control. As a new manufacturer, they weren’t pulling parts or recycling code from past vehicles. Being able to push OTA updates allowed them to get the products out sooner because they could continue development and provide improvements after customers receive their R1.ok, cool. I was talking about the myriad of missing features, but whatever.
It may be a little annoying to be missing some features, but Rivian has demonstrated that they are capable of improving our vehicles roughly every 4 weeks. The improvements that come out may not be a priority or considered an improvement by all of us. However, up until this vehicle, my expectation of a new car has always been that it’s only going to get worse after purchase as items wear. Seeing improvements roll out, even if they aren’t of value to me, gives me hope that Rivian is on the right track.
If Rivian can recycle or adapt their code for the R2 line, I think future R2 owners are going to have a much better experience from the start because of the work done on our R1 vehicles.
