Sure - that is how a tech writer at Rivian wrote up that webpage. But, Pirelli call it an "All Season" tire and has that molded into the sidewall of each one. For more than half the country that includes snow...

I was hoping it would be at least adequate in snow because I am not overly thrilled with current winter wheel/tire options (not to mention the problems getting TPMS sensors currently) and was hoping to hold off getting snowies until next year. One drive proved they are not up to the task so I ordered (and received today) a set of 22" Hakka R5s that I will have mounted on the factory wheels as soon as I can get an appointment.
How worn out are your OEM's? My fronts were just replaced, so they have a lot of meat to grab snow.

8200 miles. I didn't measure tread depth when they were new, so I don't know how far down they are now, but the fronts are visibly worn more than the rears. I did a lot of driving in Conserve which probably is wearing the fronts more. Driving on packed snow/slush and snow over ice they had poor grip. Driving the same surface with the wife's SUV w/new Blizzaks was a world of difference - as to be expected.

I ordered the Nokian Hakkapeliitta LT3s week and should have them on the truck next Tuesday (just in time for another storm apparently.) I debated pretty hard about just running with the OEM 20s all winter and my experience on them was actually good. But I live at 7000’ and I’m often up at 9000’ with steep twisty roads and it just seemed I should take the extra precaution. I always had dedicated snows on my other vehicles and while the 3 peaks is good it’s not the same.

And yes a lighter regen mode would be helpful on steep descents.

I’ll report back after I get them on and we get some more snow - which hopefully will be three times a week for the next 4 months.🎿

Why not just turn regen down/off in all purpose?
Or, why not just put the truck into neutral and "coast"? Wouldn't that turn off regen for an instant? And then when you're ready, press the stalk to put the truck back into Drive when you need it?

If anyone's interested in trying this out on snow, first see this video which shows how the some Edmunds Testers of an R1T accidently put the truck into neutral while driving, and how they later put it back into drive.

Maybe this technique would would be the "coast" option for driving in snow that some are looking for?

For reference, see this Edmund's link at about minute mark 18:24: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/...rison-test-which-luxury-ev-suv-is-best.10405/

Or Sweet Daddy Godfather?

It’s whatever @COdogman says, he calls the shots.

In any case, pretty sure Imma getting a lump of coal this year.
This would not have happened without Rivian’s refusal to deliver snow mode forcing you to beg in the dark corners of the internet. So thank you for demeaning yourself for my benefit.🫡
