Shipping time estimates from Normal?

SC just reached out and said 8/21 for me, so 6 weeks from the 'leaving factory' email to potential pick-up

I think we are in the same shipment, if you are picking up in Bellevue. I got the email it shipped on 7/28 then a text from the Bellevue SC on 7/31 saying it shipped and they would reach out when it was ready to be picked up. My guide doesn't respond, but the SC told me mid August arrival then a few days for inspection.

I think its the same shipment. I am getting conflicting info from the guide and SC. Guide says it should be in Bellevue this week or the latest by Saturday (tomorrow). But the SC is taking a more pessimistic stance saying mid to late August. Let's see who was right - hoping it was the guide

Update - took delivery early on 8/5. My timeline is:

- 7/10 - 8 steps opened up
- 7/14 - Got email that my car was ready to leave factory. Guide tells me 5-6 weeks
- 8/1 - Get email to schedule delivery. Earliest window is 8/8
- 8/3 - My check arrived at Rivian so I texted asking if they could fit me in earlier. No avail Friday.
- 8/4 - Text again and Guide says they may be able to fit me in Saturday, 8/5. He gets back to me later that day with a window for 1PM.

Picked up the car and it has been great! I don't have an at-home charger installed yet so need to figure out how to charge.

One thing I found interesting - delivery guy said if I leave the car for a week or more, I need to keep it plugged in otherwise it'll completely die. I thought you could put it in shipping mode to preserve battery a bit better?

Bellevue SC didn't have a date for me. Guide said 4th week of August for the train. That timing is looking more likely.

I have not tried to contact the Bellevue SC again, but my guide told me it should be ready for pickup by 8/26. Original guess by the SC of mid to late this month is looking about right and seems about the same as most others on this thread of 4-6 weeks from shipment.

Pingged my SC and Guide today. Got two different answers.
- My guide says "Your R1S is set to arrive SC next week"
- The SC center says 2-3 weeks out.

- "Ready to leave factory" notice 7/28

Who should I believe SC or Guide? Does anyone have the same kind of mixed responses?

I'm curious, are we supposed to get a "Ready to leave factory" email? My online status still says Delivery scheduling opens soon/final QA check, but guide says truck should be leaving Normal this week and reach my SC in 2 weeks.

Interesting, I selected a vehicle from shop on 7/26 as well and I assume you are taking delivery from Brooklyn?

I, too, am wondering about this “Ready to leave factory“ email. I have received no such email. On 7/28, my guide, who has been outstanding, confirmed a VIN# for my R1T and that it is shipping out of Normal. It will be shipping to the Sacramento SC. My guide says 4-6 weeks for the delivery. I would love to know where it is and if it has actually shipped. Is this “Ready to leave factory” the definitive notification of actual shipment, that everybody receives? Or, is it just a random email, without much substance to it?

I've text or emailed my guide with some minor questions, but it's been crickets, nothing from my guide.

Did get an email response from another guide acknowledging some paperwork I'd emailed my guide for a special license plate.

Follow up to my own timeline, above. Just booked pickup. Could have been as early as 15 August. I'm out of town, so booked for 25 August.

Basically a month from Normal to West coast.

Someone on Reddit just posted that their R1S has been sitting at the Brooklyn center for close to a month waiting for final QA and delivery date scheduling. Yikes
