I just got a new custom build from Rivian. Upon ordering, they do specify 8-12 weeks, mine took 11 weeks and 2 days.
I started this thread as when I was waiting for my Rivian, I did a lot of searching to better estimate the wait time. I couldn't find any 2026 data. I was optimistic that it might come earlier perhaps as the end of quarter was in the middle of that period. But I was also told that custom orders are first come first serve.
I did a ton of searching for similar builds online, and was willing to perhaps pick up the car in another state. I found two that were slightly interesting by changing the zip code during the search, but nothing compelling enough to pull the trigger.
My build is surprisingly a unicorn, but I would have been happy with a similar quad or maybe a Red Canyon but I didn't find one.
I did have my delivery date rescheduled for two reasons. The first was a train delay and the second one was that they forgot to put on the emission sticker and had to ship it out before giving me the car. But even without these two smaller items, the delivery would have been over 10 weeks.
