I think the big news here is you had a mobile test drive. I have not heard they were doing these again.

They just started them in San Diego yesterday. I booked my appointment last week. They said I was one of the first 6 to get one in SD. Of course, it was a consolation prize since I had my test drive in Aqua Dulce cancelled in December.

Amazing! Very intuitive to drive. Handles really well and acceleration from 40-70 MPH (more important for real-world driving IMHO) was almost instantaneous. I like the aggressive regen, one-pedal driving. It took only a few minutes to get used to. During the entire test drive, I never had to touch the brakes.

My guide told me they have been working on the camera clarity. It is mostly a software issue with how far in/out they zoom. It didn't appear bad to me, but then I am coming from a 2014 Acura MDX.

I had no issues with the responsiveness of the maps or any of the other inputs.

I guess the best thing I could say is that it doesn’t feel like a truck.

Drove by the 622 Morrow St address for the Austin, TX Rivian building this morning. They’ve started some construction on the inside as there were workers present - which is more than they had done in December when I drove by last.

Finally work has begun at the Miami,FL location (6955 NW 52nd St
Miami, FL 33166) today I went by and saw what appeared to be over 20 workers doing demolition work inside the Rivian part of the building.

Edit: was only able to get a few pictures when no one was around, there's a huge gate and it was closed, so I didn't want to draw attention.

I've not found anything. Did see that 'Rivian Automotive, LLC' got registered with the state on 9/15 and 'Rivian Insurances Services, LLC' on 9/1.

There are 5 job openings for Nashville, including a 'Regional Parts Specialist', which seems a bit outside the typical ones.

I heard rumor that permit is being pulled by Rivian at 305 5th Ave N, Franklin, TN 37064. It’s an old car lot.

I heard a rumor last week they applied for some kind of permit with City of Franklin. Hasn’t been issued yet based on my search of City of Franklin website. The address is the old Alexander Automotive and more recently Global Motorsports lot on north side of franklin. 305 5th Ave N, Franklin, TN 37064

This is a rumor, but source is a reliable friend that knows I have a preorder. That’s why he told me. Fingers crossed.
