According to Cox Automotive, YTD sales through end of Q3 are R1T: 11,581 and R1S: 354. They also mention 436 of the EDV700. I'm guessing they have good Rivian data as they are a large shareholder...

These numbers are astonishing. For a company like Rivian in their first full year of manufacturing to take that kind of share is just crazy. Good for them. Gives me hope for the truck I’m waiting for and the stock I bought …

Number is very close to what RJ released earlier that they delivered in Q3, 6,584. Those three numbers add up to 6,600.

Remember though - at least for the R1S at this point - though it applies to the R1T as well (though those are likely to be well past the "seeding" point I'm about to mention) - a lot of those early vehicles are likely "fleet" vehicles - so they're building many of them just to seed at service centers as courtesy vehicles for repairs, some will be just for press/events, some for testing, etc. Likely a few hundred at least devoted to those tasks I would think. So especially with VINs still around 1K I doubt many of those have ended up in customer hands just yet. But at this point things are hopefully going to start rolling over in Q4 where we start hearing about R1S deliveries all over

I wonder when they change their guidance, as recently as their Rivian Story posts today, they are still projecting 25k vehicles before year end.

I hope they at least hit the 25k (all models combined) but expectations should be higher.

Took delivery of R1S October 11…….VIN1073 delivered to Milwaukee suburbs, not a fleet vehicle obviously
