There's a new version dated 2/28/2022. Has anyone diffed it yet?
Here you go:
  • More advanced key fob usage including new features for activating a panic alarm and controlling window open and closure.
  • Dropped distance visible column for flashlight.
  • Added differentiation between defogging and defrosting windshield.
  • Added a larger number of additional sample commands for Alexa broken down by category.
  • Minor icon color changes for front and rear defrost.
  • Added drive mode recommendation section.
  • Added warning sections to drivers+ including severe weather, sharp curves and steep grades, adjacent vehicles and merging lanes, and road construction.
  • New note indicating that adaptive cruise control turns off and shifts the vehicle to park if it came to a stop and remains stopped for 10 minutes.
  • New section under highway assist describing how the vehicle handles a failure (warning driver to take control while it decelerates to a stop).
  • Maintenance notes about rear corner radar sensor added.
  • Dropped the image and note about dividers in rear seat storage.
  • Instructions for crossing water now indicate you need to operate the horn afterwards to clear it out.
  • Section added for non-adaptive cruise control in towing mode.
  • Tire change instructions now indicate you need to change drive mode to conserve and set ride height to lowest in addition to setting ‘tire change’ mode.
  • Removed the section on how to access the 12V batteries.

  • Waterproof indication for spare tire compartment switched to “No”.
I'm assuming there is no difference between "waterproof" and "weatherproof" but the R1T page still has this:

Underbed storage
Lift the bed floor for additional weatherproof, lockable storage. The area fits an optional full-size spare and also doubles as a cooler, with an integrated plug for easy drainage.

I've always thought of this space as additional storage and wasn't planning on having a full size spare so it's slightly disappointing if it's no longer considered waterproof.

This is a clear miss by Rivian. If you have to select "tire change" mode, why wouldn't it automatically set the required drive mode and ride height? Not only would it simplify the process but it would make things a bit more idiot proof.

Miss you say? Don‘t worry. Rivian is working on this upgrade and will be charging you $5 a month for this feature.

You can pay now or pay later. "We" (the Rivian customer community) chose to pay later....

"Waterproof" means it can be submerged fully for some period of time without leaking. It's pretty unrealistic to expect that level of seals on a compartment like that.

Only if you print it. But it still changes quite a bit. The digital manual in the truck is better anyway.

That's the beauty of an electronic version, it's correct and current every time you open it.

Just like the internet, only different. 😁

Will you good people kindly get the R1S manual online for us to download.

Can't be too hard since the R1T manual has been out nearly a year and the R1s shares so many common features.

You're either already delivering at least the LE R1S or are, or soon will be, delivering the earliest releases of the R1S Adventure. Surely you're not handing owners a car without an owner's manual.

Candidly, those of us in que for the R1S hang on everything you can give us. If I can't yet have my R1S, at least give me the means of studying up on the make.

So give . . . said your ardent supporter and de facto salesman.
