I've been working with my guide. Figured an email to RJ would be lost in the mass of other emails I'm sure he receives.
Nope - I received contact back the very next day.

I think I'm sitting at 145 or so. I'll let you know in a week if I've beaten your 150 mark.
Oof. :(

For folks that are at the end of their temp tag - are you still working with your guide or have you reached out to RJ yet?

NOTHING moving on mine until I emailed RJ. Even so, I was at 150 days before I got my official registration tag.
I'm at 116 days and counting. My guide hasn't really been helpful. I reach out and they only ever say they'll contact the registration and accounting departments, but nothing ever seems to come of it.

My truck is at the service center.... again.... If they call me to come get it and I still don't have registration sorted out then I think I'll have to go the RJ route. Shame, because I hate the idea of it. But I don't know what else to do, at this point.

It's especially annoying because I asked to self-register when bought the thing, but they insisted I had to let them do it... And here we are. Being able to say "I told you so" doesn't really make me feel any better, either.

Now that I think about it, I still haven't gotten my all-weather mats, either. Ugh.

Meanwhile, I see people getting free swag and I can't help but feel bad because I don't get the things I PAID for.

As of today I am almost there....almost. Temp tags expire Oct 30th. Pinged my guide at the beginning of the month. He replied that a self registration package was sent Sep 1st, didn't you get it? I explained that all I received was a pink applicant copy of what looked like a registration and plate transfer application. Posted that in the other thread and was told it was just a copy, but I had to wait for the registration to arrive to actually put the plates on. Guide said he would request another one get sent. After about 10 days I let him know still nothing, and yesterday he let me know I would get a self registration package today. It arrived this morning. Took it to the local Mom and Pop registration/titles/plates shop in Washington, PA and they found errors in multiple places including signatures that had to be notarized "by the dealer" and other missing signatures. Then I showed them that pink copy I received in early Sep. She took one look and said, "you already did this?". She was immediately able to check the status in the system and saw that PA had just finally approved it last Friday, and cards get sent within 7-10 days. Even if I don't get it in the mail next week, she can issue me a replacement under a "never received" status for a $21 fee. She also let me know that pink copy allows me to actually attach the plates I transferred from my previous vehicle, so wrong info given here in the forums on that side too. My gut had told me to take that pink sheet in to see if they could look anything up in the system 6 weeks ago, but I failed to listen. This afternoon I finally have my PA plate on my truck. By next week will have the registration in the mail or pay the $21 to get one at the local shop. All pretty PA specific, but will hopefully help others here, especially if that mysterious pink sheet shows up.

I actually received an overnight package from Rivian on Monday, 10/11 that contained my temporary registration materials, which I found odd because the physical plate and actual registration had already arrived in the mail.
I see a UPS package as well with an overnight label created. What temporary registration materials do they send exactly? I'm actually realizing that I assumed some papers would be in the vehicle but maybe there's nothing?

Greater than two months after I received my truck I hadn't heard anything, so I reached out to my guide. What I have heard is NOT reassuring.

RegUSA is supposedly waiting on my insurance agent (who is a Rivian insurance agent) to upload data to the GA insurance database. They have now done this twice. Spoke with a customer service representative from GA department of motor vehicles who said there is no record of my VIN anywhere in the system in GA. She states first thing that should happen is RegUSA should send my paperwork to my county tag office. Then insurance stuff can get fixed. My guide / registration team state insurance stuff needs to happen first (which is NOT true per state of GA).

These conversations were had several days ago and I havent been updated by my guide since. I am caught in an endless loop and have no idea how to get out of it?

I have zero faith in RegUSA and asked my guide if I could self register but also get a temp plate extension. She said my request was submitted. We shall see. Temp tags expire 11/13.

I don't actually need a rental, but if it comes to that I'm going to request a Rivian equivalent rental just to make them realize there are consequences to screwing up basic stuff like regustrations.

A receipt for the registration fees paid, a temporary paper copy of the issued plate (already had the permanent metal one) and a vehicle title report. I already had the actual title arrive a couple weeks earlier.

One week later than my last post and I have not heard a peep from my guide. I've left two voicemails and sent an email all on different days. Only 10 business days before my temp tags expire. I'm giving it until Monday before I try RJ and / or Tony.

Edit: tried calling CS, and was eventually routed to the REGISTRATION team. Woman on the phone told me ONLY my guide could help me with me REGISTRATION issue.

Still waiting on mine in Utah. Guide says they have what they need and it should be completed/received in 2-3 weeks. I'm at 60 days post-delivery and month to go on my temporary registration, so not nearly as long as some of you have been waiting. Just another data point.

I was very fortunate. My title and registration was very fast.

Took delivery on 9/12/2022. I noticed the car registered in my online portal with the Arizona DMV on 9/22/2022. Paper title arrived circa 9/27 and plate arrived on 9/30, I think. I don't remember exactly, but it was quick.

I actually received an overnight package from Rivian on Monday, 10/11 that contained my temporary registration materials, which I found odd because the physical plate and actual registration had already arrived in the mail. I noticed they did use a 3rd party to register, but I can't recall the name off the top of my head.

Rivian has a dealership license in Arizona. I think that's making all the difference.
I am completely blown away by the incompetence of REGUSA and Rivian in the title and registration process so far.

Particulars - we took delivery of our R1T on August 19. After a month, our inquiries regarding status of registration and title seemed to spark some small actions from our Guide. After another month of still receiving nothing, a new Guide jumped in to help because our old Guide was too busy. New Guide assures us that he had just confirmed we would be getting our plates and registration (Maine) no later than the end of last week (10/7).

Today (10/13), I received the registration and plate stickers for some poor woman in Maryland and her 2020 Mitsubishi. Perhaps she received my Rivian registration and Maine plates, one can only suppose. This is the kind of stuff conventional dealers would mess up, but then get resolved in hours, not months.

I have 35 days left on the temp tags and little confidence that this will get cleaned up.
Update:
With a week to go before our temp tags expired Rivian and Reg USA still could not get on the same page. Almost daily calls and emails to Rivian customer service were answered with polite acknowledgments of our increasing loss of patience and promises that we would receive something any day. Honestly our guide was totally useless and seemed so overwhelmed that we decided we just had to take over.
First call to Reg USA resulted in real progress. We learned that Rivian had sent our tax payment (and nothing else) to Reg USA one month after delivery. We also learned that RegUSA could reach the Rivian team directly and request the needed remaining paperwork. They did exactly that and voila, next day Reg USA had everything they needed. So we now found a helpful person with the Maine DMV and managed to get a 3 party conference call where we, ME DMV, and Reg USA agreed to short circuit the normal process where everything goes from Reg USA to DMV, then plates and docs go back to Reg USA and finally to the owner. By simply asking Reg USA to include FEDEX slips to ship plates directly to us, ME DMV was able to do just that. Two days before our temp tags expired, we received everything.
All we did was what the Rivian team SHOULD and could have done much sooner. Moral of story: don’t wait for Rivian to clean up their mess.

Received my registration today. I live in Pennsylvania, picked up in Brooklyn on 11/5 with temporary Illinois plates. I was intending just to have them transfer my old plate (from a Acura RDX) to the new R1T. But when I got the package from FedEx today, it had a brand new plate, with TRUCK on it, I guess its probable the vehicle weight or truck designation required a new TRUCK plate.

But long story short, I live in Pennsylvania, picked up in Brooklyn on 11/5, got new plates on 11/25, less than three weeks. Rivian (or their designee) did everything for me, I think I had to do some wet signatures when I picked up on 11/5. Others in other states may have other luck, but not all the stories are bad. Now time for me to schedule a state inspection somewhere.

Took delivery 9/22 and finally got the plates 11/22. Exactly 60 days. Interestingly I had a notice for the 10 day inspection period for NY though I already have an inspection sticker. I guess they supply that notice with all plates. Checked registration on my DMV account online and it matches the sticker in the window so I’m all good.

it was a bit confusing though. Delivery person had me sign the limited power of attorney docs and said he was a notary. But two weeks later I had to sign those documents again via notary.com. I had mentioned this to my guide and he was a little confused as well (more regarding the delivery process than the online one). There still seems to be a disconnect here and there but my tags got delivered before expiration so all good. Now I need to hunt down screws to mount them - I wasn’t given any at delivery.

To close the circle for my story:

Rivian / RegUSA never figured out how to apply properly for my plates in GA. After I requested to just complete the registration myself, I received all the necessary paperwork from Rivian in the mail in 2 days. I then drove the 1.1 miles from my house to the county DMV office and had my plates in about 30 minutes.

Only downside was I had to repay my taxes and title (to the tune of almost 6k). Thankfully the refund check from Rivian arrived about 24 hrs after I went and got my plates myself.
