R2 Wifi Issue

Has anyone else run into an issue with WiFi on their R2? I had a problem where WiFi and Bluetooth stopped working, so I reset the car. That appears to have fixed bluetooth, but I still cannot get WiFi to work. It connects to my home router, but it says no internet connection. Both our Tesla and Buick are connecting without any issues. Not to mention the 50 other home devices connecting to the router. I did all the obligatory resets and reconnects, and everything is working but the Rivian. I tried searching the forums, but I haven't been able to find much on people having the issue with R2. I imagine there's a simple fix here, but it has eluded me thus far. The image shows me trying our IoT band, but I've tried 5Ghz as well. Both with the same error. Thanks!

Yes. Multiple times. I feel like it's not a hardware issue if cellular and bluetooth are both working. It also connects to the WiFi, it just can't get data through. I don't have any weird settings on the router that should block this type of traffic. I may just initiate a customer service chat with Rivian to see what they recommend.

Does this happen on other Wifi networks (or if you can setup a Wifi hotspot on your phone)?

I was having that same issue with my 21 TMY when i connected it to an IoT network. Try connecting it to a regular 2.4 ghz network

I'm curious, what is the reason to connect the vehicle to WIFI? I haven't found a need to do it yet, and not sure what I'm missing. Are people typically only connecting to their home WIFI? Is it for OTA updates?

Updates show up faster for users that connect their vehicles to wifi. Rivian doesn't push the update via the vehicle's cellular connection unless it's an emergency update, or if the vehicle goes long enough without being connected to wifi.

Out of available IP"s? Does your provider limit the amount of devices on the network? I have an AT&T fiber router but they want to limit the available IP's. So I turn of the WifI on the AT&T router and have a separate WiFi access point hanging off it.

Rivian had me let the car fall asleep. When I tried again the next day it worked. Not sure if they applied voodoo as well.

I’ve rebooted my R2 four times in a month. Twice was because of this issue. The restart fixed it….at least temporarily. Hopefully this next update resolves the issue entirely.

I don't have any issues connecting to my home network.
Are you using a mesh router, roaming, band steering, WPA settings, IPv6, multicast, or other AP features? That may be problematic.
The easiest way to see if your network creates a problem for Rivian is to enable hotspot on your phone and let Rivian connect to it. If it does, you know that Rivian's WiFi is not defective, but you have compatibility issues with your router.
