Anyone have an update of the tonneau cover option(s)? Awhile back I read that end of year Rivian would have their option available but didn't look much into it then. Powered or not powered less of a concern to me over security & weather tightness.

The manual option is available (though presently out of stock): Manual Tonneau Cover - Gear Shop - Rivian

The powered option is allegedly coming back any minute now (and will be available as a retrofit); I'd expect at least Spring before it's available to order, though.

Both are "weather safe" in that they'll keep most water out of the bed, but it's important to set expectations realistically. Dust will get in, and so will some droplets. Bags and tools and whatnot will be fine, but I wouldn't fill it with loose cashmere.

I was just quoted $1800 for the manual cover. Jeez this seems like a lot of money

My Interrobang will be delivering next week, but no personal experience yet, just what I’ve seen from other threads on here for many months.

I’ve seen really really good reviews of it, but keep in mind it’s only $200 cheaper than OEM (since the bag isn’t included) and isn’t water tight like OEM. It looks way better than other options though and is super strong.

The Rivian manual tonneau is not water tight, some water will get in (there’s a review on YouTube that shows this). I just ordered the Tail Lidz one but am waiting for delivery so I cannot say how effective it is.

I’ve been happy with the manual, but had ordered it with the truck so didn’t pay $1800. It only leaks during hard spray (carwash) or downpour, otherwise stays dry. No issues with end pieces, the bag is really nice.

I got the interrobang cover and it is great. Looks good, dry bed after car wash, and you can stand on it.

Not trying to be that guy, but picked up R1T yesterday and already bought Interrobang tonneau (jan Delivery probably) and never had a pickup before (newbie alert). Why would I stand on the cover? What would I be doing? I see all these racks and tents using crossbars, so guessing putting something on the roof? Get up there with gear tunnel doors?

For me it's a 5 person car with a 300+ range and unlimited storage options for stuff I don't have (yet). One day in, pretty thrilled with the experience but the UI is almost backwards so that's the learning curve and I'm a leading tech savvy person. Very heavy, tough and capable, but a nice place to be while driving. I'll ask about accessories in those threads, but glad the IB tonneau will be a hit when I get it.

I just had a very nice conversation with the developer and principal of the Interrobang cover and I am very happy with my choice to go with his product. I don't have it yet so no review possible but simply encouraged by what I heard and now waiting patiently for it to arrive in January (hopefully)!

Nah, just pointing out the strength of the aluminum panels. You would not be able to do that on most other tonneau covers.
