Rivian Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) saved our R1T and another driver from serious accident (video)

Took place in Maryland. Driver tried turning onto the street we were on while going way too fast. Our R1T saw him coming before I did and automatically braked at the last second. This prevented the car from clipping us (it didn't touch us at all) and possibly making the accident worse for him. Everyone ended up okay minus a bloody nose and sore thumbs for the other driver. The truck recorded the incident on its own, too. I wish it recorded sound.

I'm gonna assume looking at his phone and not the road. At that speed, a collision like that would have been very serious and possibly fatal.

That was my first thought too. Hard to believe he was even attempting to make that turn. Looks like he just drifted off the other road at the intersection. Super dangerous.

Does Rivian have any pre-tensioner systems on seatbelts?

While I was slowing down due to traffic in my 2020 Volvo XC60, I heard a beeping sound, and my seatbelt tightened and pulled me against the seat. I looked in my rearview mirror and noticed a car going way too fast to stop in time. It swerved with inches to spare and barely missed me. I've never felt safer in a vehicle.
