Hahaha definitely. I’ve had my share of scares with the shitty mapbox navigation taking me on a “better” route through the Angeles National Forest. Came out with 3% left
3%?? That's nuts. Every trip I've taken so far the truck has been far too conservative. I told it I want to arrive at a charger at 10% and then follow it's charge to X% recommendation and I almost always arrive with more like 20%. Only once I looked at its estimate and thought it was on crack and recomputed myself and charged deeper only to find that the truck would've gotten me there with around 8% which would've been fine. In that case, the wind was bad enough I didn't trust it given the two prior legs were around 1.3 mi/kWh and it was planning that one for more like 1.8 mi/kWh.

if is was a ploy it worked on me. I have been on and off the waiting list since Rivian first started accepting deposits years ago. I even got a beautiful print of a R1T sent to me that arrived after I requested my deposit back.
I am just over 1000 on the Ford order list and haven't gotten mine. Seems like in the first two weeks of April they sent out less than 1000 of them. Very slow rollout.
Because it works no adapter needed at enough Magic Dock equipped Superchargers to make a significant difference and it works as seamlessly as using a Rivian Adventure Network charger. Just plug and charge. In our case we just got back from an MTB race for our kids that would have been hard to get to with our Rivian without a supercharger that bridged a towing gap along the way. Rivian built in nav fearlessly added this one along our route and it was pretty good. Granted the first one we plugged into was defective… at least with EA since they have screens you know which ones are duds before you plug in.
