Tuesday morning coming out of the garage, I kept getting telltales to the effect of “raise truck before driving to avoid damage”. It apparently did not come out of Kneel mode itself. I manually put it in “Standard” height & it was fine after that. I didn’t drive it today; we’ll see what it does on the morrow.
Kneel mode stays active until you drive above a certain speed threshold. It's intentional because you might just be repositioning the vehicle for access. Personally I wish the setting were configurable, because I'd rather it not behave this way.

That's not saying you don't also have a leak though. I did on my truck. The vehicle will throw a code for a leaking air damper, but AFAIK only Rivian can pull codes, and it doesn't present as any sort of an error on the display. After Rivian replaced the damper I'll still get the message about the truck raising after kneel mode occasionally.

Welcome to the world of air suspensions. Just wait until one of the air springs needs to be replaced or the compressor fails out of warranty. A lot mechanics will want to replace all the air springs and compressor even if the problem is a single item.

One other thing can lead to suspension settling beyond what Rob described is temperature changes. As the air cools overnight the pressure in the system drops, lowering the car. The car will relevel to account for this, dropping the pressure in the reservoir —at least that’s what I observed with my LR. I could watch it move up and down 3/8” throughout a 24 hr period just due to temperature changes.

Does your air compressor turn on for a minute or two after sitting for a day with no change in the height?

I don’t think my truck has been parked in place for more than 12 hours since we got it. I use kneel mode and drive on the highway a lot (this drops the suspension automatically, even in All Purpose mode). From my experience with the LR3: you’ll drive yourself mad worrying about what is normal behavior of an air ride system. Use it and hope it fails (it will) within the warranty period.

That is exactly the symptoms I was experiencing.
No telltales this morning & lifted back to Standard all by itself. So…?
