I've seen this mentioned in a few places but does anyone know if the truck leaning to the passenger side has been identified by any service center as an issue? I had my truck in at the Minneapolis service center and one of the items I had listed was the lean. I was told everything checked out and the suspension was working as designed. However there's no way this isn't a problem. The truck regularly has an inch or more less space between the tire and wheel well trim on the passenger side regardless of the terrain it's parked on.

Could it have been level when you were in the truck and then when you get out, the driver's side suddenly gets 200lbs lighter and rises up? Perhaps have someone measure level with you sitting in the drivers seat.

No changes if I get in or out of it. Sometimes at stop lights it will raise or lower the passenger side only, truly bizarre

Look at the hill behind the truck.

You are trying to measure against the ground, where the rivian is auto leveling based on gravity.

*Laughs in GX 460*

While not necessarily the same thing, Toyota’s KDSS system, included on the GX 460, is known for a similar “issue”. There are numerous cars with KDSS, which is a hydraulic suspension system that adjusts the front and rear stabilizer bars, that have a noticeable lean to one side. Toyota/Lexus generally have claimed that the vehicles are within spec and there has been limited success in alleviating it.

Again, not necessarily the same issue but if it is then it may be due to the type of suspension setup and nothing may be “wrong” with the vehicle. The R1T also has a hydraulic suspension setup.

Yes...Mine has been doing this same action since the first day I picked it up.....Passenger side front corner is typically 1-2 inches lower ...only when it normal suspension position...off-road and lowest seem unaffected ...I need to verify that...but defintely passenger front corner is lower ---I actually have to lean to compensate when sitting at a light...lol...I am hoping it is simple sensor issue...My Rivian tends to pogo quite a bit at stop lights...reminding me of my Range Rover air susupension days...hopefully this suspension activity isn't indicating a leak.

Does it pull to the right when driving as a result?

Have same issue, got same response (i.e., it's working as designed). I know this can't possibly be how the truck was designed - that makes zero sense. I've yet to see anyone with this issue get it corrected. Mine does pull to the right a bit as well - not sure if it's because of the tilt/lean.

Besides the slight pull (and the annoyance of seeing it every day), it hasn't impacted me much so I'm letting it go for now. If it becomes an issue, I'll put in another ticket. Or once I have several other items to fix (or if I'm due for an annual service), I'll include this again - the permanent service center in Atlanta should be open by then and they should have more experience working with the truck.

@Jazzyjeff139 had this same issue, as well as others, but I don't know if it has been addressed. Maybe he can opine.
I can. Thanks @opnwide .
I was told it was Gina also and that it’s probably a software issue, also when I’m at a red light the truck will move up on drivers and down on pax. So weird. They said they’d open a ticket but I’m not sure they did. I’m also waiting for other issues then bundle it in. The truck operates fine otherwise. However yesterday I just started hearing a ticking noise on acceleration. We’ll see.

That was the first thing I noticed at delivery on 3/24. Wasn't a huge issue for me. Very minor difference. But I did put in a service ticket and they remotely checked it and said the suspension is working fine. I think it's fine. I did park in a parking spot once that was heavily declined on the passenger side, and the truck lifted up on the right side much higher than the driver side to compensate. I believe it's all working as designed. It doesn't pull at all when I'm driving.

I have the same issue. I have an appointment at the SC in 3 weeks, so hopefully, they address and fix this issue. Nothing on my list of items to be fixed affect the driveability or fun of the truck.

Break out your level, or back in next time and see if it leans the other direction.

The truck auto levels on surfaces to support things like roof top camping.

I’ve done all of those things - it’s not the auto leveling feature (unless it’s malfunctioning). This issue is consistent in every parking lot/garage I’ve been in for 2+ months. It’s an issue with the truck.
