Any reason why most of the people are on 2024.07.02 and not on 2024.07.03 as it says it was the last public available since 3/15?

Supposedly the 2024.07.03 release was specific to Canadian vehicles, so any US vehicles that were on .02 didn't need it.

Just want to remind you guys that two firmwares ago, it bricked many R1 vehicles. Those that didn't rush wasn't affected, as Rivian released fixed version a week or two later.

The rollout provides people and Rivian how the new SW is working in the real world use. So don't get too eager about things you cannot control. It will be available to your vehicle when it is...

It was not two releases ago. It was early November...my truck was one of those impacted. The fix came out two DAYS later, not two weeks. Also wasn't bricked...infotainment just didn't work.

Man, EVERY TIME.

OK ladies and gentleman, here's your thread specific PSA:

Updates are phased rollouts. There's no rhyme or reason as to when you'll get yours. Be patient. They will come.

If you're upset about that, because you're not "FIRST IN LINE" every time, call Rivian. And they'll tell you the same exact thing.

Your vehicle isn't broken and you're not being discriminated against because you haven't yet received a notification that your update is ready. And yes, you should receive a push notification, so long as your particular phone allows for it. If you don't see it as an option to update under your software version in the app, you are not yet ready to update.

Probably 99% of owners receive the update within ~2 weeks of the first person saying "I GOT MINE!!"
My wife's Rivian got the update last night but I'm still waiting for mine q_q

They have done most of the updates with infotainment and side camera about the only things left outside of navigation and driver + updates. I doubt your back seats with three kids are 99% empty. Even if they are others use the back seats.
Most of the updates?! Having had Teslas for years - Rivian is way behind. Not even close. The UI needs a complete overhaul. Just look at the R2 - you can see how much they're holding back.

Yes and that overhaul will likely happen this year as shown on the R2. What else is there other than those things already mentioned? They have done pet more, dashcam etc etc that people requested. Tesla slowed down their updates too.

Got mine yesterday, no issues. One thing I noticed was that, there is a lot less clicking when it levels when leaving my garage. It used to click a lot, now once the compressor turns on, it just keeps going and stops when it’s done. I’m guessing the clicking is when it does micro-adjustments.

Ok sounds like those can be done this year since infotainment covers 3 and 4 and 5 has been mentioned before.

I'm still on 2024.07.02
I am on same software versions, so I called support and after their investigation they said, other versions were only pushed to selected VIN's with issues and not all. So most of the Rivian's are on their latest version with 2024.07.02.

I don't like being part of this 2.8% stat... :(

Is there any known tricks to getting the update pushed to my vehicle? Do I have to keep the vehicle awake somehow?

I am, but often find the vehicle sleeping and disconnected from WiFi when I check my network. I’ve only had the truck for a few weeks so this is my first software update. I feel like I’m missing something here.

Never ran into being the last of the crop getting an update on my Tesla.
