So just got the call. They said it has slowed down so much it may now be as late as april as a worst case. I was pretty stunned, as that is far later than even I was thinking...and I was thinking it would be pretty delayed. I was thinking maybe end of January or something.

What date are you again for the preorder?

Scaling up production on a mass scale is difficult. I get it. Very very disappointed here and I hope the timeline speeds back up. April was certainly not a month I was expecting to hear. But in the end, I would rather them get it right than rush things and the product have issues.

Meanwhile Customer Service continues to state everything is on track, customer deliveries have begun, and we'll all hear from our guides in the next few weeks. Now we know it's yet another potential 6 month delay.

I hope and pray the S-1 (a legal document) stating that Rivian anticipates 1,000 R1Ts delivered by end of 2021 is still truthful. I'd sure be pissed if right after the IPO they announce a more general delay then turn around and say the "cone of silence" period prevented them from announcing it s00ner.

Agreed, assuming they live somewhere accessible. The real delay will be when the push LE orders into the summer, which I expect they will end up doing.
