Submitted everything and got confirmation that my application was received on 10/28. No further communication. Check showed up 11/22.

For those of you in Massachusetts taking delivery of your R1T (it's unknown yet whether the R1S qualifies, but write-in if you apply for an R1S and find out), here's the step-by-step guide for how to get your credit. At the time of writing, there's still credits available in the top ($7500) bracket, but over time the credit will drop in value (see https://mor-ev.org/mor-ev-trucks for information about that).

Note: it takes weeks to months for any action to be taken by MOR-EV so prepare yourself for that, but hopefully these steps will help you get approved on the first shot so you don't need to go back and forth with weeks in between.

How to file:

Send an email to this address: [email protected]
DO NOT USE THE FORM ON THEIR WEBSITE, IT DOES NOT WORK

Also, they sometimes send emails from a different but similar address: [email protected]. DO NOT EMAIL THAT ADDRESS as it is a no-reply address and no one will ever see it or reply to it. You must use the proper address above ([email protected]).

Tell them that you want to file for a class 2b rebate for a Rivian R1T and attach the following:

• Picture of your driver's license
• Purchase summary
• Purchase agreement
• Vehicle Registration
• Photo of your door sticker (shows GVWR and VIN)
  • I'm not sure if it's necessary but in the text of my email, I also included a link to the owner's manual (https://rivian.com/support/article/...I2PXXSeVLjO-nB-hq-zs6auA5_BmNgqbHx97HO12ktfv0).
• Signed MOR-EV form

  • It's clear that this form was intended to be filed by companies so it's not obvious how to fill it out as a private individual but here's what I did:
    • Name of Entity Purchasing/Leasing an Eligible Vehicle: n/a
    • Name of Signatory: <your name>
    • Title of Signatory: n/a
    • Signature of Vehicle Purchaser/Lessee: <your signature>
    • Email of Vehicle Purchaser/Lessee: <your email>
    • Date: <today>

It's the door sticker (in the frame of your vehicle when you open the driver's side door).

Awesome. Tbh I'm surprised they still have full-value rebates remaining. I guess a lot of people don't know about it. That seems like something that Rivian (guides or at least the local delivery/service crew) should be notifying people about.

I think they're just not actually keeping count, tbh. None of this seems particularly well managed.

Thanks @PastyPilgrim i just got my check as well. Curious does this count against the EV tax credits in 2022 or this is completely separate?
