All I see is a factory picture that says Congratulations for making the 1,000th Van, in your previous post this came from? Do you have a link to an article or something that mentions the 10,000 R1's? Sorry, maybe I am missing something in your post.....

Look a little closer. Definitely talking about R1T and 10K and not 1K and EDV.

Also look in the VIN check thread about people having VINs in the high 9000s and one over 10k.

No other company is going after the "adventure" category in EVs.

VW is with the Scout brand, but it will be a few years before it hits the market.

Even if they just kept up the 2000 per month that would be about 19k R1's this year and since they are still ramping, I'd say they get to at least 20k this year.

I have not seen a report that indicated Rivian actually made 2000 R1's in July. I assume we'll get an update on the earnings call later in August. (I predict less than that, but don't have much basis for my prediction.) Its possible, would be impressive if they made 2000 R1's and a few hundred EDV's in July.

Hadn't noticed that. Sry. Confused this with a different pic from here that I had downloaded to try to see more. Sigh....... Still, surprising to me, doesn't even include the S. Wonder what the underbody comment means? I guess it could be the 10,000th frame or something like that. Any more info posted with this picture?

Edit: FYI I had an early Lucid Air GT order but cancelled in the spring. We decided a sedan didn't fit our needs. If they had launched with their SUV (Gravity) first we would have been much more likely to have purchased.

I feel the same. We're probably not the target audience, but I'd have a hard time picking a sedan for any purchase at this point. But Tesla does sell a few.... We kinda have a feel for what Rivian wants to be selling in 5 years, more models of trucks, SUV's, EDV's. Do you know what Lucid is forecasting?

The R1S appears to be another set of VINs, so total production may be a bit more. The blue R1S at the Venice Hub was VIN 50.

It’s my understanding that frames are supplied to Rivian. To wit, it would be kind of silly to be taking a picture to celebrate the 10,000th frame manufactured offsite. I think it’s safe to say that “Underbody” is just the department that they’re in.

The new limit on the price of cap for the EV tax credit is going to hurt start-ups like Lucid if it passes....

Do you really believe without $7.5k, person who is willing to buy $170K vehicle will cancel??

The press and analysts made the exact same argument about Model S and X, and had NO IMPACT. It will not affect Lucid sales either, if one wants one.

My spider sense tells me they’ll over deliver R1 vehicles and under driver on vans fwiw but still end up close to the 25k number in total.
