Just ordered our R1T - Large!

I have to say; the folks at the Rivian show room on Newbury Street in Boston were incredible! We test drove an R1T this afternoon and just fell in love with the truck. Spent a good two hours talking about everything in the truck and the various configurations. Got back home to Rhode Island this evening and placed our order for an R1T - Large. very excited!

Fantastic! So how long did the process take for you from reservation to delivery?

Just over a week, but I went ahead and got a shop truck because I wanted the F&F discount that required it be delivered by today.

Yeah! Today I noticed we went from "Reservation" to "Configuration confirmed"!

Although I am ANXIOUSLY awaiting the Emails about the next steps, I realize I am only 3 weeks into the ordering process. Honestly, it feels like several MONTHS... but that said. We configured an R1T-Large and made the reservation deposit (not buying off the Sale site). Can anyone advise about how long I can expect to wait? 4-6 weeks? 6-8 weeks? Does Rivian provide and status updates along the way?

Just be glad your wait isn’t the year or longer many of us went through when we preordered. It was still worth it.

Got my notice from Rivian to begin the acquisition process! Started uploading documentation this morning!

HOLY CRAP!!! Talk about moving fast! Lease approved, trade-in accepted, got the VIN number, got my insurance binder, all photos and documentation uploaded. Our R1T-Large will be in New England by November 25. We are going to take delivery on November 30!

Awesome! I got mine about a month ago. Check out my post on great experience with Chelsea SC. I think we lucked out, but of course I hope for a Portland SC in the future!

We picked up our R1T-Large yesterday afternoon at the Chelsea MA service center! All told - 8 weeks from Reservation to Delivery on a custom-build. The vehicle is absolutely SOLID! 55 miles home through Boston traffic, road construction and open roads - not a squeak or rattle! Just a splendidly marvelous ride home!

UPDATE: The NACS adapter that we were not expecting until early next year just arrived by UPS!
