let's hope so... by the time they get to producing them, the R2 is going to be Rivian's sink or swim vehicle much like the Model 3 was to Tesla.

Amazon wasn't profitable and saw net losses from 1994-2017 along with 2.7B loss just last year 2022. They invested every penny back into the business and infrastructure and people whined the entire way.

Rivian is fine as long as they continue to produce and deliver vehicles, move forward with strategic plans and continue to grow revenue and cut costs. They cut loss per vehicle from $139,277 to $30,648 in the last year. Profit isn't expected for a good long while.

They may need to trim spending for a while and reduce production even.....to get to point R2's are comming off the new line. It is a long game here and not a quarterly report one.
