Where do we find our current Delivery Window?
In an email titled "Your Rivian R1T estimated delivery window" sent on December 28th. If you ordered after that it should be 2023.

Some interesting points from my CS chat just now:

1) I'll be invited to the Shop "in the near future" :CWL: (8/20 R1T Large Adventure now, from R1T Max Explore pre 12/21 delivery email)
2) There have been no updates to delivery windows up to this point (already suspected this). So my current 23Q1 window is based on a R1T Max reservation. It also partly explains some new orders getting very quick windows.
3) "In the coming week" there will be an update. The answer (attached) is nicely ambiguous. Someone who is optimistic would say they are talking about my order. A Rivian preorder holder like myself interprets this to mean SOMEONE somewhere will get an update this coming week.
4) There's basically no way for me to get a guarunteed test drive despite my reservation date (and very close proximity to the Atlanta service center) or to physically see a Rivian before I get invited to the shop. I suggested I might stalk the service centers in hopes of seeing different colors. The CS rep's response was basically a shrug.

I expect to continue to be surprised, confused, and frustrated by Rivian!

The most frustrating thing of it all is that they 100% put themselves into these situations. I know I’m not getting my truck tomorrow and I know the email is either going to tell me my timeline hasn’t changed or it’s pushed out. But what drives me wild is they keep setting these deadlines on themselves that they aren’t prepared to meet.

As a product manager myself, I would never be okay with my support or comms team going on with a definitive deadline of something we are not 100% ready for yet. 🤦‍♂️
I could not agree more! How hard is it?

Ah, ok. I have that email. I wasn't sure if it said it somewhere in or Configuration Page on the website.

Not sure monday's email was good news ... more confusing than good
I’m starting to think that at Rivian HQ Communications they think that confusing is good.

This is great research AdamUCF. Thanks for digging this up.

Any reasonable person who promises to email by the end of the week wouldn’t wait till the last minute…. It’s just pouring salt in the wound. Why do that to your loyal fan base? There is only so much goodwill Rivian fans have. Rivian just keeps chipping away at it.

I’m really frustrated at this point.

Did you really get a 2023Q1 window in December 2021? Or was it 2023H1?

Oops typo H1. Classic Rivian miscommunication.
Had me excited, for a moment. Even getting a "quarter" window would be progress, imo.

No reasonable person thought “this week” meant Saturday or Sunday when the email was sent.

I am close to rooting for the complete failure of current Rivian management so someone competent takes over.
Be careful in what you ask for.. if it gets to the point of failure and Rivian is taken over by (most likely) Amazon.. the first thing they would probably do is cancel the consumer vehicle division of Rivian and only produce EDV's and commercial vehicles going forward.

I know Rivian's communication has not been great, but the CEC employee is only trying to do what they are told and are put in a tough situation. Talking down to any individual and telling them what they are "not allowed to use" seems pretty childish.

@ORFynder - I didnt post entire thread, we are all professionals and the convo is v. respectful, You = rivian communication team. Hope that helps!

others - they kept on saying though they delivered "some" R1S to non-employees, seems BS to me.
