Were you a Tesla owner long enough to remember the driver unit failures?? This is the exact same thing, just 10 years difference. Tesla eventually fixed it, but it took them 20 iterations of part numbers to do so.
I’m more worried about the suspension more than anything else. Air suspension has been around a long time. No excuses

Air suspension is notoriously problematic across all manufacturers, Tesla and Rivian are no different. And the fact it's highly recommended to do changes per axle, isn't going to help.

Upper control arms, toe links, and anything with a rubber grommet in the suspension will be the long-term repeated wear items.

Please post screenshots of your work orders showing the exact full part number... Folks are focusing too much on the revision and not enough on the full part number.

Interesting. So now I wonder if -F is the part being replaced, or the replacement? It says it's the required part, but does that mean the part necessary to make repairs? Or the part necessary to qualify for replacement?

This is very unclear.

Just dropped my R1S off at the service center. Just as others had predicted, we didn't even leave the parking lot and the tech knew right away. We will see what they do, whether its lube the ting washers, or replace the half-shafts.

They gave me a rental from Enterprise that was a Jeep Wrangler 4xE plug-in hybrid. I'll be honest that I'm not a fan and it makes me miss my R1S, clunks and all!

UPDATE 10/10 - Service called. They are replacing the front half-shafts.

That's a quad, so not part of the recall, and is also their recommended replacement part.

interesting how your Dual Motor half shafts got replaced with the Enduro G where others including myself last month have gotten the Enduro F. There was a mention that the G was for Quad's but perhaps not

I have to disagree about the air suspension. My 2015 Ram 1500 Limited had air suspension. No issues. I just talked to the person that bought it from me when I got my Rivian last year and he has had no issues either. Well over 100k on it. It towed a lot and was exercised daily.

100% agreed here. My Rivian is the 4th vehicle that had airsprings at some level, and the second with all 4 wheel adjustable suspension. Q7 had similar (10in vs 14in) range of adjustment and it was nice and quiet at 118k miles. Rivian has an issue with this clacking/clicking/tinging haywagon front end.

Mines loud enough now that I had someone stop me in a parking lot over the weekend and ask if I knew it was making that noise. Yes I knew, and Rivian has told me "they all clunk like this". Ugh, what a PIA.

The air shocks clunky, while the half-shafts chatter.

I understand the half-shafts, but the air shocks seem like they shouldn't be noisy.

I got the F revision on Sept 18th. So those are faulty and now being replaced with G?

PT00087074-F are my Sept 18th installed Enduro front half-shafts.
