Half-Shaft issue thread

Wow that sucks! How are the driveshafts not part of the drivetrain? Than again, it's the hub flanges that go bad.

I took it in for another diagnosis and they said the half-shafts were the issue and the dampers were leaking! The car had 70,000 miles on it at that point but only a little over 3 years. The serve tech manager said these repairs were not covered any longer as the vehicle was out of the mileage range for the bumper to bumper warranty. I asked why this would not be covered under the drivetrain and he just said that it was not.
