For 100 kWh under both pricing schemes you save $12. So for anyone who does use EA regularly, you only need to charge once a month for the membership to pay for itself. Really, you only need to charge 25 kWh per month for it to pay for itself.

Getting close to gasoline territory with these rates!
When >90% of your charging ought to happen at home with far lower rates, who cares?

Thanks.

I have only charged at home and at work. Rates are quite high IMO, but I imagine that will only continue to increase based on current policies and trends.

Or when your home charging rates are basically the same as the new EA rates....

Plenty of people living in apts, condos, and rentals that don’t have a way to charge at home.

Geez, if your home electric rates are over $0.30/kWh, I'd be really seriously looking into solar. I have a 5.5 kW solar array, but our electric rates after fees are only $0.13/kWh, so it doesn't make much sense financially. Though we're getting transitioned to Time of Use soon, so I'm sure I'll see more benefit then.

And at this stage in the game, those folks really ought to stick to ICE. Level 2 charging needs to become more ubiquitous, for multi-unit dwellings and at workplaces. Due to demand charges, DCFC will always be more expensive than L2 charging.

New England. Electricity may be super expensive compared to everywhere else, but at least solar is too!
