Driving without a key?

I have my R1T set to not lock while at home and just realized I can get into it, put it in drive and drive away without a key fob, my phone or a key card on my person. Anyone else notice this? Makes me reluctant to leave it unlocked at home (even though I live on 10 acres and have four big dogs running around the fenced property)!

How long after it is parked or unlocked? There is a short time after the vehicle was unlocked that you aren't prompted for a key.

For sure not supposed to be that way. Just this morning I forgot my phone to move the truck out of the garage and it would not move until I got my phone. (Or presumably any other of the key types)

Is this this only happening at home? How far away from the vehicle do you keep your fob?

I noticed this two Saturdays ago. R1T not locked in my driveway, hopped in and made a run to Lowes home improvement. Once at Lowes I jumped out and went for my key fob to lock the doors and realized I had left it at home (I have never set up my PAK). Luckily I had the key card in my wallet or I'm not sure what would have happened. I never presented the card so the R1T should never have driven. Since then I have gotten busy and never called in a ticket or checked if the behavior is still present after the 2023.02.03 update.

I do not have a home location set. After sitting for awhile and getting in without any type of key I cannot shift into drive without a key present.

I haven't tried it with the latest software update though.

Also.. if you unlock using the fob (say to get something out of the cab), close the door and walk away.. shouldn't the vehicle automatically lock itself after some pre-set amount of time?

I do not think so, mine locked if I am using my phone as it is passive. If I use the fob I have to lock and unlock manually. This will change when the update comes out that makes the key fob passive.

There is a setting that you can do where if you unlock the truck and never open a door it will lock after a couple of minutes but I have not tested that. Reading the description though, if you open a door I do not think it would re-lock.

^ any idea where this setting resides? I have to unlock in order to open the charge port door and plug in, and would love for the truck to re-lock itself automatically after that.
