This poll is for those early R1T owners that received a power tonneau cover. We hear how much it failed but how much did it really fail? I am hearing of quite a few tonneau covers that still function and even mine does too. I use it multiple times a day. I lubricate it once a month.

Last time I used it before I loaded my camper it was working fine, it's disabled in the computer now.

Never lubed it once just sprayed the tracks out with a pressure washer periodically.

Still working and today is 1 year. Lubed twice and only used when I really need it open. Such a great feature!

I did have a loaner recently that was a March 2022 built R1T with 8k miles. Power tonneau would function, but would only open 1/4- 1/2 of the way, before the panels seemed to pop upward, causing it to get stuck. I didn't want to have it open, so I would reverse it and close it. At least with this R1T, the panels would pop up enough where it would get stuck on the exterior trim before it could go in. If you tapped them down as it was opening, you could probably get it to go in all the way. I did t feel like gambling.

I have had my Launch addition truck for over 15 months. The power cover failed on day one. I was told it would be fixed by the next spring. That passed, RJ then promised it would be fixed by summer. That also pasted, he then promised it would be fixed by the end of summer. Summer ends on 9/21 in at least my area , it is now 9/21 and I have not heard a word. 3 promises in a roll and now I am waiting for what is his next promise is.

Just voted yes, but have to acknowledge that I hardly ever open it out of fear of it breaking.

Me too! I hold my breath every time I open or close it. It pops and clicks and makes all kinds of scary noises. I have to push it while it opens to get it to open all the way. I wish it worked better.

My original truck they bought back had one that worked flawlessly for the 4 days I had it. The one I have now has warped panels and stops after a panel length.

I use it daily and have never had an issue. It doesn't sound awesome, but it keeps chugging along. 15 months and 30k miles later.

I'm about 1.5 years in and use it every week. Have never had a problem. Sounds a bit stretchy but still works fine.

14 months in and still works as it did when I got it đź‘Ťhopefully it'll still work when a new one becomes available so I don't have to wait for too long if mine goes haywire.

Mine worked for a little over a year and 18k miles. Then one day it just failed.
