To contrast with the theme, we have created the heaviest wheel we have ever made. But all for a reason
Any bronze?
We can add bronze if you’re ready to place a pre-order. The container is 90% full, and we are finalizing our order. We have 1-2 days to add any additional items.

Contact us and we will figure it out.

Any efficiency data you can share with this setup?
Looks like a solid setup and imagine your MPK has to be pretty high, maybe >2.5?
Sorry, just saw your note. About 2.25 to 2.35 in mixed driving. Pretty much exactly same as factory 21s but look way better and extra sidewall makes ride even better.

Put the 21s on R1S, those are so much better ride than 22's. If wife didn't like look if 22s I would sell them tomorrow. Just did a trip with 21s and averaged 2.25 at 70mph average with about 75% of drive at 80mph so really happy with R1s

Is there any concern with the loading rating being about 200 lbs less than oem 20” pirellis? Getting ready to switch to general grabber hts60’s on my oem rims but would like to get another set so I can keep my pirellis for off-roading and easily swap wheels/tires.

This will be the first time I’ve ever done aftermarket wheels and tires on any car I have owned so want to make sure it isn’t an issue. Especially given R1S price tag.

How would they fair with light off roading on dirt/gravel and ruts created by water run off. Don’t ever plan to do intense off roading really with car but regularly camping does take us off paved roads routinely. On top of excess wait from camp gear and hitch cargo attachment to hold additional stuff. Just curious how they will hold up structurally.

Apologize for my ignorance, learning curve on a lot of topics since getting an EV and doing what I can to make it mine.

Thanks!

Are you talking about 115 load index tires? I've been running AT and AS 115 load index 275/60R20 tires on aftermarket wheels with great success since October. ATs did fantastic on gravel, rutty, snowy (highway, slush, and compacted), and rocky roads, 1.96 MPK for the winter. AS+3s are smooth as butter and gave me 2.44 MPK last summer/fall, I'll check spring total in the morning but pretty sure it's the same.

I'm on the fence about running a single 116 275/60R20 All Weather tire on OEM 20 wheels, the only thing keeping me is how smooth and enjoyable AS are. I'm concerned AW will feel like ATs and I'll regret it.

I think my biggest concern is going below OEM load index and whether or not if an issue arises Rivian claiming damages not warrantied even if tire/wheel failure was not the result of damages. I am sure I am overthinking it but a lot of this is new to me so trying not to make the wrong decisions.

I’ll have to look up reviews on the AS+3s because my main focus rn is improving ride quality as far as noise and smoothness and boosting efficiency in the process. The Scorpions are just obnoxious in regards to noise levels. Not ever driving with ATs prior to my Rivian it sounds like most people agree off road/ AT tires are not always smooth either.

Rivian originally shipped with 115 in early 2022, but there are a lot of 116 275/60R20 AS options now. I suggest perusing the forums and searching for these, e.g. Michelin Defender LTX M/S2

Any specs you need. Regarding weight, I think for 20x8.5, we can achieve less than 25 lbs, while keeping the same 1170 kg payload. The exact weight we will know after we design the 3D model of these for Rivians.
We will do it in the next few days and I'll share the outcome.
How would these hold up for light off roading? Bulk of driving is city/highway with passengers but for vacations and camping trips curious how they would handle heavier travel loads and non paved roads/trails that are on rougher side but can manueaver at low speeds.

Am considering the awzz in future for style and weight but would hate to collapse a rim due to potential stress.
Aftermarket wheel/tires in new territory for me always done OEM in past

In theory forged wheels should hold up better than many OEM wheels, but would love to see people who know more than I do comment on this as well.

My two cents: the 21s are a great set up except for the early wear challenge and the price to replace. Ride is great balance of quiet comfort and good handling. That being said, I changed mine out at just over 15,000 miles with 5/32 - 6/32 left. I was going to powder coat the 21s in satin black but decided to buy new wheels and cheaper tires and get a new look.

So, I purchased the Martian Wheels. Great price on sale but only in bronze so I had them powder coated in satin black and then ceramic. Not for everyone but I love the look. Installed the Michelin Defender LTX MS/2 in 275/60/20 to match the 21 diameter for no change in calibration.

I have over 1,000 miles on them and this is my short report:

- softer than the Pirelli so very comfortable quiet ride
- sidewall doesn't seem as strong as they definitely roll a bit more in the corners and don't feel as solid. I'm not sure if it's a function of the 60 sidewall or the lighter weight or what.
- no change in calibration and efficiency seems the same as 21s
- way too early to tell on treadwear but hoping they last longer

I ride in All-purpose soft so I like a a softer ride and don't mind the cornering but I'm not sure @kanundrum will like them as they're not as confident and sporty. Personally, I think you'd think the OEM 21s are the best all around combination of handling and feel and efficiency.

I just posted my used wheels for sale, @240vPlug or @kanundrum , if you want to have powder coated in dark. Can mount with OEM or maybe the Michelins will be less expensive and last longer when they came out. Would choose which tire depending on priority of solid handling, price, or potential treadwear.

@kanundrum, I'll be in NoVa and Bethesda this Thursday if you wanted to try to meet up in the evening to check out my set up and feel the handling. DM me if you're interested.

Pictures were right after install so tires have that weird finish on them. Will get better photos soon and maybe do my own full write up.

How has your efficiency been since making the switch? Should be at least 5% higher.

The Gen 1 OEM 20" wheel are forged enkei's, not 100% sure what the Gen 2s are, but they are still described as forged aluminum.

The 22" Sports are described as cast aluminum.

While the 22 range is "machined".

To be clear fwiw, these are Atomic 20" AWZZ, custom ordered in "Antique Bronze"
They are 12.6lbs lighter per wheel than the AT 20" Black wheels...
