Costco doesn't have a servicing guide yet for rotating / balancing Rivian tires & wheels

Rotation and balancing isn't proprietary or vehicle specific. All they need to know is the proper ways to lift a R1 (with you supplying a set of jack pucks) and the lugnut torque specs.

I choose to support Rivian. $60 is very reasonable for a rotation. They will send mobile service (if it's available in your area).

Took my 2022 R1T into Costco Tire Center to have them rotate/balance the tires (~8,000 miles on them, figured it was about time). Took the truck in, but then couldn't find a "repair guide in the system" to do a rotation/balance. I mean... I can do it in my driveway using the owner's manual and a jack, but okay. It says in the manual how to remove the panels to access frame rails in order to jack it up, but oh well. I suppose they consider it a liability if they can't "follow a repair guide" for these vehicles, but that's a little absurd. Suggestions? Discount Tire?

Rivian chose discount tire as their partner that is the answer for now, go to discount maybe in the future they’ll extend to Costco

Quick question - Does this apply to America's Tire?

I'm bit confused. In South OC, CA we have both America's Tire and Discount Tire & Service Center. The latter's logo looks bit different than yours so not sure if its the same company.

My local Les Schwab rotated mine for free at 5K. They did have to look up the torque values for the lug nuts. They are used to doing Teslas and they said it's no big deal to do a Rivian.

Great question. In certain areas, we are America's Tire. Discount Tire and Service Center is a completely different outfit. Sorry for the confusion.

I need to move to 21 road wheels once winter ends. So are you saying they wouldn’t do it, even if I bring my pucks. If yes, where do I go in NJ/PA area :-(. I am too lazy to do myself.

I got my own. Good thing too when I brought them to America's tire their set had broken.

Honestly, America's tire is the best. Their service is so good I refuse to buy tires elsewhere. It doesn't matter where the tires come from they will rotate and balance tires on all my vehicles for free.

All these tire threads, where do the east coast people get their tires rotated and vehicle inspected? Closest America's Tire is 150mi away and there isn't a Discount tire east of the Mississippi. Mobile service can't do inspections.

Not sure where you are in NY, but Dunn Tire now operates under the Discount Tire umbrella.
