Haven’t had a chance to log in yet. Is this just if financing? No real purpose for me since I am not financing other than to check for Colorado rebates.

The R1T will be the first vehicle I finance (my Tesla and one previous vehicle were leases). I've heard from friends that getting a car loan with a low sub-3% interest rate is a piece of cake as long as you have a good credit score, which I do.

Anyone else here have any experience with that? Is that true?

Check your local credit union! I use Pended and/or Navy Federal.

This is my friendly reminder to those that haven't purchased a car not at a dealer before to reach out to your local credit unions as they will *always* have a better rate, you could probably find 1.5 - 2.5 right now.

For an 84 month loan and good credit it's 2.9% right now.

Mine has a referral program if you're looking for one and don't have it, but I highly recommend switching from 'banks' to credit unions, they're so much better to work with than the big banks and really do value their customers.

The interest rate is the one place I will regret not having to work with a dealer. Wont be getting a 0% interest rate on this purchase. Hard to forecast what interest rates will be when the time comes to actually secure financing.

You the man.
I humbly disagree, if the cost of capital is 3% and you can reliably get 6-7% in low risk index funds, you're losing money by not getting the loan.

I didn't realize that anticipating a better than 3% return on investments is such a bold strategy.

I just logged in and didn’t see the $1,500 Clean Fuel Reward for California residents. I wonder if it applies. Will research…
There’s a base msrp maximum for the California rebate. I think it’s $60k or so.

However they seem to give out rebates say if you pay $65k for a model 3 since the base price is below $60k. What we need Rivian to do is come out with a 2wd 250mile range version that starts at <$60k so we can all get tax incentives on our $80k+ luxury adventure vehicles
