So the R1T is perfect for 95% off my need.
I am concerned for camping season and towing trailers.
can I have a generator in the bed of the truck plugged into the charge port while driving? This would really help with range issues and towing.
Nope. Can't charge while driving.
Every EV I’ve seen will not let you move with it plugged in.Everyone is saying no but I’m gonna try it lol!
The power from a trailer 12v battery would give Rivian about 1 foot of extra range before it was depleted. The drive motors on the trailer are a good idea but wouldn't it be easier and cheaper overall if a trailer's battery could be used by the EV? Obviously there would need to be a standard and a charging port in the rear but it seems like a good way to increase the overall range. It would be good for more than campers.
This is how I plan to stay one step ahead of everyone elseThe power from a trailer 12v battery would give Rivian about 1 foot of extra range before it was depleted.
