The rooftop tent is gonna take all that and then some! Plus, you know, living in a big city means my garage is a luxury to begin with, and is both space-constrained and packed full of all sorts of stuff!
I hear year regarding "packed full of all sorts of stuff!". I lived with a pack rat for decades and she was hating life when I clean slated the house (garage included) with only the stuff we needed.

for big stuff, that makes sense. Roof rack and some straps is like spare tire for me. Most of the time I won't need them but when there is an unplanned need for them away from home I would rather to have them with me. I know with R1S interior space it will be rare but it has happened to me in past.Good enough for me.
Eh, I guess. I mean, I live in a big city, but even here it's common to see houses, townhouses, and (some) appartments/condos with a garage. That being said, in my current home. I could not leave the crossbars on the roof on either of the Rivians as it would bump into the garage door when I open it to leave or park. Thankfully, with the R1T that's a non-issue due to being able to place the bars over the bed.That is Radical
100% chance that my wife would rip them off the roof if our door was that low. Now I'm wondering: can we set the R1S to lower automatically when it approaches our house?
And you should see the amount of cup holders in that whammy-jammy.
