  1. Insurance companies? Who are you using?

I have Progressive. Only have two other cars plus the Rivian. I was was surprised by how cheap it was to add the R1S. Probably because it is an SUV. But to add it, it only cost an additional $450 per 6 months. Itā€™s full coverage but I do have a high deductible ($2,500); I hate dealing with...
  2. Range in Mojave preserve?

I did 70 miles of the road a few weeks back in an R1S. I started in Baker, charged to around 80%. Drove to the trail from there (about 20 miles paved) and headed east stopping at the Mojave Trail Mailbox and continuing on to Kelso Cima Rd and continuing east until I hit Lanfair Rd. I visited the...
  3. Your preferred suspension setting - All Purpose (Poll)

I just started using moderate. Jury is still out vs soft.
  4. Rivian Front Headlights Design

I like the headlights and light bar on the Rivian.
  5. Any problems with Lectron Adapter?

I use a Lectron adapter to charge my R1S. No issues so far (3 months).
  6. Which R1S Running Boards?

I got EV Sportline running-boards for R1S. Love the look. Excellent quality.
  7. How does Rivian address delivery paint chips?

Iā€™m So Cal (El Segundo center). I had a small scratch on the tailgate of my R1S on delivery. They repainted the entire tailgate. It ended up being a bigger process than I was expecting (the process took three weeks and they forgot to put the R1S badge back on so added back and forth) so...
  8. Thanksgiving day accident

Probably totaled. Bent front suspensions are never easy to fix. Good luck.
  9. If you don’t opt for the all weather door mats, do you get floor mats at all?

It comes with some standard ones. I have the Ocean Coast and mine came with grey/white/black mats. I actually like them better than the all weather. They hide the dirt more vs the black all weather always look dirty. So I use all weather when I go off-roading. The rest of the time, the standard...
  10. Your preferred suspension setting - All Purpose (Poll)

Interesting. I guess I didnā€™t consider that some people will keep their R1 on Sport as their daily. I take it thatā€™s more for the power?
  11. Your preferred suspension setting - All Purpose (Poll)

Yes, maybe itā€™s the weight I mostly need to get used to. Looking at the poll results, it seems most people overwhelmingly prefer Soft on the T or the S.
  12. Your preferred suspension setting - All Purpose (Poll)

Iā€™ve never owned a vehicle with air suspension. I come from a Model 3, which has regular shocks so the ride is pretty stiff. Iā€™ve owned the R1S for 2 months now and I canā€™t get a feel for the right suspension setting. When I drive slower around town, soft feels a little too soft, especially over...
  13. Introducing RMaxx Running Boards & Rock Sliders for Rivian R1T / R1S from Team 1EV

No additional raising needed. I put it in off-road mode and then put it in the highest (not just high) setting. That was good enough. Good luck.
  14. Introducing RMaxx Running Boards & Rock Sliders for Rivian R1T / R1S from Team 1EV

I received my R1S running boards this week and I installed them today (triple square). The package included everything I needed for install and the separate parts were packaged very thoroughly to avoid damage. The install took longer than I expected (6 hours) but most of that time was spent on...
  15. First Pic of Your Rivian

Pick it up 3 weeks ago; VIN 17xxx. Original order was September 2021. R1S Adventure, AT, Ocean Coast. So far, no issues. Handles great, no rattles or creaks, no noisy AC unit, stereo system is fine, build looks great.

By the way, this is only specific to the R1S not the R1T, which I see youā€™re referencing. But as to where itā€™s from, I am just quoting the IIHS.org website. You can see the red where it states the build. Iā€™m not pulling this from some vague publication. If itā€™s fake, then I guess itā€™s all for...

Not according to the site; ā€œAward applies only to vehicles built after January 2023.ā€ See screenshot. I think it may be a Top Safety pick for both years but for the ā€œ+ā€ it is only for those after January 2023. Something to do with a plate under the drivers seat buckling.

Something that old also has the old build and doesnā€™t qualify for the ā€œTop Safety Pick +ā€ from the IIHS.
