I saw one under wraps in upstate NY testing on a high speed charger. Engineer could not say brand but after the price increase it sounded like this would be priced around the Rivian range.

With 380 miles of range, this is very competitive with the Model X - not sure if this is with dual motor or single (I would prefer a dual motor).
The fact that it is a 7 seater would give me adequate space.

I think it uses Android Automotive as well and has a HUD - two things that I was looking for (frankly I would think that a nav integrated HUD would be standard in a $50,000+ car made after 2020).

I depending on the price and production date (availability), I would be willing to consider it - especially since I don't ever plan to take my $80,000 car off-roading.

Will wait for the reviews to come out after tomorrow's official announcement.

Wow, I didn't anticipate $130,000 for the dual motor.
I was hoping that at maximum it would cost no more than $110,000, undercutting Tesla (but I then again, why would MB need to do that...?)

Way better looking than the EQS Sedan. I'll be interested to see the final specs in the US. Definitely looks like an excellent 7-seater SUV. Biggest negative would be no front trunk.

The InsideEV article has some more details. They are going to offer an EQS 450 4matic dual motor. This implies that the base 450 model will have a dual motor option instead of stepping up to the EQS 580 to get dual motors. My guess is the EQS450 4Matic will start under $110k.

Has dedicated off-road for light off-roading, most importantly they have shown interior pictures (Rivian still hasn’t shared third row pics).

MB doesn't usually try to undercut price, they out luxury the competitors. From what I have seen from the EQS sedan it is way ahead in that department compared to Tesla.

Definitely looks more like a Model X competitor, as Ai can't see that thing going off road. Android Automotive is excellent, and I hope to see it in more EVs. I wish Alphabet would have invested in Rivian instead of Amazon so we could have it, and Google Assistant.

I read that the dual motor will only be available on the 580. Price comparison to MX will be very close at that point.

373 miles of rated WLTP range is not competitive with 348 miles of rated EPA range of Tesla Model X.

Model X will have 14 cubic feet more storage capacity behind 2nd row.

And a Frunk. Despite having a larger hepa filter.
