Bed Rack options from Xtrusion Overland

Sorry to hear you had issues with the install. I was, however, wondering about the actual dimensions of the extrusions used - thickness and width. For my purpose, and wanting to get the lowest possible rack, I was thinking of getting an extra extrusion and cutting it into sections to use as spacers for my RTT. I have a source, other than XO, for the extrusions that would be cheaper.

Since not at home, can’t measure exact. XO is expensive- your alternative might be much better Alternative.

Hey Skunn- ordered mine 7-12, received 9-22. The “free corner brackets” included in my order, but not structural were shipped today. Here’s my thoughts- they are slammed. Powder coating by third party appears to have created some issues- I think there are so few Rivian orders we get pushed to the end of line. My SIL and I installed day after we received it. He is mech engineer and takes LC’s apart and puts back together for fun. Everything went fine. ( you have to & I mean it- have to have snub nose hex wrenches to attach the bed rail brackets)-got to top crossbar on rack and my SIL said he didn’t think angle looked correct if we cranked them down. So I said I would call on Monday and send pics and confirm with Jon(co-founder and one of guys in the installation video you need to watch, in my opinion). I called Jon on Monday and he & I face-timed and he said looked good. I cranked one side down- looked great - other side had 1 1/2 inch gap at corners. I live in Kauai, 5 hr time difference to Wichita. Jon took call at 5:30 CST and we determined immediately wrong angle brackets sent. He apologized as we didn’t confirm the first time the number nubens on the bracket piece. They UPS’ed replacement brackets and new corner bars to me. Unfortunately I flew out next day to mainland and won’t return until Nov, so rack is not completely put together, but I feel confident these will fit well. Let me say this- the rack is great quality and really fits tight. Looks really good. I have 23 that matches cab Rivian bars for height. So here is what I suggest-
1.Yes you will receive notice from XO that UPS has label in process and you can track it from there.
2. I got concerned when I hadn’t received mine and used the customer service email and asked that someone get in touch with me ASAP. That happened. I suggest you do the same.
3. Yes, you will receive one box with bars and a second box with all the nuts & bolts- there are a lot of them, but they should both come at same time, just two boxes.

I think this is a really good company that is growing quickly, new employees and same issues as all manufacturers have with 3rd party contractors and raw material delivery. I know that doesn’t make us buyers feel better, the good news is they should be around if we have issues in the future. LMK if I be of further help.

Ha! Not I- mine is in Hanalei, Kauai. The racks are top notch quality, but not cheap.

Took about 10 weeks total for all the components to finally arrive, and I was able to get it together quickly and toss the RTT on top. This is the 19" version, with AXS hinge on one side. Can see the bed camera, lift the spare tire door, put bike in the back. I'm totally happy!

Just ordered the 19” rack, today. Will have my RTT mounted and room for my MTB underneath Might have to shim it a bit to get my RTT to just clear the spoiler, but that shouldn’t be a big deal.

Got mine exactly 8 weeks to the day from order and payment processed. Waiting on the corner brackets to come back from powder coating at their supplier and then the entire order will be fulfilled. Like others have said, the rack is great, this is the 19” version and I’m having two different canvas covers made to create a bimini top type of set up for my dogs when they’re back there (not including my daughter of course). Was hoping Softopper would come to the table with one of their waterproof, canvas covers but so far they said there wasn’t enough demand to spend the time and money in R&D for a Rivian version.

If it’s any help to you, the corner brackets are the only parts not shipped with it. Rack is still usable until they get here, as I was told by the XO contact person. It’s as solid as can be even without them and for my needs I could go the rest of time and not need them. Once assembled on the truck it doesn’t move, budge or creak at all! I’m impressed seeing it in person on my truck.

I just got my rack in the other weekend configured with the 19” height, heres a few pictures of how it looks.

Oh Thank YOU, thank you, this is everything that I've been wanting to see. I've long thought the 19" rack was the better choice for me because I want the camera to see everything out the back like you show here, and I wanted to see how much taller above the spoiler it sits. This should also make the brake light on the spoiler show below the rack, correct?

I went with 23” inch rack match height of cab Rivian crossbars . Have an 11 ‘ paddleboard- needed length. Great rack- stable, etc..- I did have same issues receiving parts as others. Long lead time. But- I highly endorse their rack systems.
