Anyone know what this noise is?

My R1T has approx 3000 miles on it. It drove fine to work this morning with no issues, when I left work this afternoon I immediately heard a creaking noise from the left front wheel at low speeds. Braking does not seem to affect it, nor does turning the steering wheel. I don't see anything physically wrong. I put in a service request. Has anyone had this? Thanks for any info.

It isn't a squealing sound when I have had a pebble in the rotor, and hitting the brakes does not change or modulate it. I have tried feeling around front and back of breaks and don't feel anything. Thanks for the suggestion.

The front half shafts need to be greased. I've been to the service center twice for this issue. First time it came back the next week, second time the regreased and tightened the half shafts and I have a few thousand miles and it hasn't come back.

That's the tock

Around 60% or so (according to a poll posted on here awhile ago) have this issue to some degree.

Mine had it bad, and then they lubed something which reduced it but didn't eliminate it. I scheduled service again which is a 4 month wait, and by then it will be bad again.

Really? Not arguing, it just sounds like a “creak” instead of a “tock sound.

Mine has this noise. Sounds like the car is 15 years old. Hear it most when my window is down at a drive through. It’s embarrassing bad sounding.

It did seem to come on quick.

It was so bad that a valet driver got out of the vehicle to ask me if it was normal when he was parking my Rivian.

I think it’s a version of the creaking/tocking as everyone said. I had a minor tock sound for a while and then one day it sounded just like yours. A few days later it went back to a single tock when starting/stopping. Mobile service lubed and tightened the half shafts and it went away. Been a few thousand miles and still good.

I have the clicking. Which isn’t as extreme as that. But it’s often pretty loud when I’m maneuvering in a parking lot at low speed. Need to take it in.

I sent the video to service this afternoon. Still waiting for a response. Nearest service center is about 90 miles away, though we do have mobile service. Fingers crossed they can do it with mobile.
