From FB group... speculation that air suspension leveling could contribute to vampire energy drain.

Anyone see the Reddit post on this? Sounds like a Rivian software engineer (who posts on r/Rivian on Reddit) helped determine the root cause of phantom drain for at least one person & he posted about it on Reddit: faulty sensors for the frunk lid that kept waking up the Rivian & preventing deep sleep.

I posted about the development & speculation about the cause (new frunk “headliner” snap-to clips vs. better more-expensive magnets) here:

I wonder if this is why shipping mode requests that you put the vehicle in lowest suspension height.

My truck seems to be doing MUCH better since the last update. I haven’t done the EVSE testing like I’ve done before, but it looks like I’m losing 1-3 miles now over 24 hours.

Which version is this specifically?

I’m on 2022.43.2 for current software version. The truck has pulled 2.0kWh through the EVSE over the course of 32 hours (that’s just how long it’s been plugged in and not moved).

Wrapping up a full 7 day trip:
9% loss or 26miles of estimated range.

1.29% per day. Gear Guard on, suspension left in all purpose. 45-50F temps.

That’s not bad with gear guard ON.

Parked car last night at 11 PM outside at 50% SOC. Just checked and it’s still at 50%. Just picked up the truck so all settings are factory. Overnight temps in the mid 30s here in SoCal.

Last week was 1.5% average per night with the truck parked outside at an average 8°F, gear guard off. I’ll do the same test this week with gear guard on and see what changes. Average low temperature will probably be similar but a couple nights will dip below 0°F.

That's sarcasm, right?

Our R1T is losing between 20 to 30 miles at night consistently, since we picked it up. Our Tesla Y does not lose any mileage when sitting overnight. Rivian Phone support has had ideas to try, but nothing improves it. Rivian scheduled a Service appointment, first appointment available is 3 months away. I bring the rivian to Plymouth, Michigan.

I'm on 2022.43.0 and I lost 4% since this morning at 7:00am when my charging stops. In a heated garage, 48 degrees, gear guard disabled at home, proximity key disabled at home.

This version of software isn't great. I keep getting errored out when trying to wake vehicle on the app, and most of the time, changing the charge limit also fails after timing out.
