I got into a huge fight with Kyle's "not mom" in this forum many moons ago when he acquired his R1T at pre-march pricing without a reservation and claimed he got no special favors as a YouTuber and I had the audacity to complain about it and call BS.
I'm sure he isn't the only YouTuber that does this. You have to protect your brand when it is your only way of putting food on the table.

Reviving an old thread and update - Rivian said on Jan 7th that the $200 refund was approved, and I would get my check within 8-12 weeks (fricking joke in and of itself)Don’t hold your breath for that check in the mail ?
not that it’s any consolation but I had an issue where Tesla screwed up my registration and they owed me about the same amount of money. Took me 5 months to recover the funds.
But I missed it the first go-round and just had a beautiful morning drinking my coffee and reading the whole thing. Quite entertaining.This is one of those threads that didn’t need reviving.
Never needed this with Rivian, but Tesla took 6 months to refund me (I returned the car within 6 days in 2020). 46k. Fortunately, they reversed the loan, with interest. But i paid the loan for 6 month's while waiting ...Rivian has always been slow about processing refunds.
Rivian is an amazing mix of nimble and cumbersome. They've always treated me honestly, but it takes time.
