I bought a V1 adapter from someone who had 2 delivered. Looks like I'm not eligible for a replacement. If this is a safety concern and recall of sorts, why wouldn't all adapters qualify?
I'm in the same situation. I contacted A2Z yesterday via email to see if I was covered by this program even though I wasn't the original purchaser.......I'm still waiting to hear back from them. I'll let you know what they say.

I’m in a similar boat, if it’s a safety issue and given NHTSA will be announcing the recall, I hope I can find a way to take part of the recall, especially given there is a real risk and safety concern.
All adapters qualify, but people who sold their adapter and don't have it anymore don't qualify as they don't have the adapter anymore. The new buyers can reach out to us with the previous owner information (order number, full name and such - we are flexible).

We have tons of email to answer, we expect to have answered everyone by Monday. Shipping of replacements will start Monday.

I got two emails from @A2ZEV but no instructions on what to do yet. They said its been approved but I don't know what to do next.

I am guessing they'll send me the adapter and I'll use a label they send and the packaging to send back?

I never got the email. Would be really odd if they weren't sending them to folks that had ordered both the V1 and V2 adapter. In any case, I sent my original order info to the guy who bought my V1 adapter...so we'll see if he's able to get a replacement.

There’s a guy in my local club in the same situation ordered both V1 and V2

We’re making the assumption they sent the alerts out to those who bought the V1 only and if the V2 was purchased, they did not send out the alert likely a filter - simple search not the more cases where someone bought both. So you’re reaching out is for the best for sure.

Never got the alert and I only ordered V1. I used the link that someone shared to ordered a replacement but I would be concerned about others that are not following the forum. Perhaps they are sending the emails in batches?

Tangential to this post but...didn't Tesla have to tell users to stop using a wet towel to keep their charge plugs cool? Maybe it's not actually the adapter?

I got my email saying my replacement is on the way and instructions on what to do with the old one. They aren't asking for it or the case back. We are being asked to render it inoperable. The information below was in the PDF attached to their email:

Update on NHTSA Recall #24E093000 – Replacement Adapter Shipment

Dear Customer, Thank you for trusting us and for your patience regarding the NHTSA recall #24E093000.

We are pleased to inform you that your replacement adapter is ready to ship, and a tracking number will be sent to you separately via email.

In the meantime, we kindly ask you to safely dispose of your V1 adapter by following the steps outlined in this video: https://bit.ly/3O6Oj9f.

Once you have completed the steps, the adapter will be rendered unusable.

For recycling, here are a few recommended options:

 Municipal E-Waste Collection: Check with your local municipal waste management services

Check your junk. Mine both went to junk. I accidentally emptied junk folder and caught a glimpse of the emails as they disappeared. Emailed a2z and they sent new emails. ??. Try getting that done with Rivian.
