I had my AT brights powdercoated to glossy black. Looks similar to OEM AT dark, but these have a single color as opposed to the two-tone of the OEM AT dark.

I actually used Brainexploder’s blackout stickers previously, but I had my truck in the shop for some other work and figured I’d just get the wheels powdercoated while it was there.

Thanks for posting. You mind sharing roughly the cost?

About $250 per wheel (including tax) with road force balancing on each wheel. I think that’s on the higher end but I did take it to a higher end shop intentionally.

I’m not sure if it’s a placebo effect, but with the road force balance, truck handling seems much smoother and more precise.

Sorry, can you explain what "road force balance" is ? New term to me.

Maybe a stupid question, but while it was in the shop... they took the wheels off and did it for you? What did they use for the jacks? Did you have the pucks?

Yeah, they have to dismount all the tires, acid wash the wheels, sand and patch (if necessary) the wheels, spray and bake the wheels (they did 2 coats on my wheels), mount and balance the tires, and then reinstall.

I have pucks but the shop already had pucks of their own. They’ve worked on multiple Rivians locally.

thats awesome you have someone that can do all that who is trustworthy. I have wondered, if I had to choose different wheels, how i would handle taking these all off without buying 4 different jacks and have it sitting in my garage for days.

That's what I plan to do when my R1S gets delivered sometime this year. It'll sit on jack stands while the wheels get powder coated. I do plan to get a 2nd set for off-roading, but I will likely not have those in hand at the time of delivery, sooooo...jack stands will be my solution. It'll suck to not be able to drive the truck during that time, but hopefully there won't be more than a couple of days of downtime. This is still far out for me, but I've planned as much as I can in advance of delivery so that I don't have to rush.

Love those 20s in dark...HATE them in brights! Crazy how much of a difference it makes!

Do you plan to find where that yellow Rivian 'tag' was on each wheel and paint it yellow again? I asked some shops and they stated that everything gets coated and they can't retain that little yellow strip, so I understand why it will get blasted, but I'm thinking that I might get some yellow Rivian touch up paint from the Shop, and then try to paint the area where that badge is/was. Is that even a possibility?

Maybe a company will make a decal to replace the Rivian yellow stripe. When I had wheels powder coated in the past, I was able to find decals for things like this.

there are 4 places that you can jack up with the pucks. so how are you going to get the jack stands under? Unless you have 4 trolley jacks.. which I wouldn't want my car up in the air that way for days. or you get the jackstands with the bottle jacks (cheapest I have found are $70each).
