Nice work @ATX_R1S !!

What program did you use to modify the original file... looks very professional and no "this is not a manifold" errors.
Thanks! I used Fusion360 to modify it (converted mesh to object, made my edits, glued it all back into a single body and exported).

Wish I had a 3D printer... wouldn't mind a little more height on the otherwise perfect 17mm Pro mount.

EDIT: Ordering it from Craftcloud. Did ABS with 60% infill... hope I chose properly, I have almost zero idea how this stuff works. Thanks for the file!

Ball centered, and slightly redesigned the riser. Can tweak it more if you want.

I just landed back in Pittsburgh and I saw this. Instead of 3D printing this, I would strongly recommend something like: https://www.ebay.com/itm/394024145564 as it gives you more flexibility as to where you can place the mount. (plus it's like $6, delivered)

I'm happy to work on something like this in the future if there is enough demand.

Also, I would recommend uploading that STL to a site like Thingiverse if you want to continue distributing it. Marking it as a remix of my design would also be helpful should people want to find it. Dropbox (and other file sharing platforms) works well for right now, but there will inevitably be people who want to print it years down the line and hosting it there will help them out.

Finally, just a reminder for folks to please respect the Creative Commons license that I've attached to the upload. EVERYONE is free to distribute and share these as long as there is attribution and non-commercial intent. You can read more about it here: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/

UPDATE:

My error for not checking the geometry of the dash location... It turns out that the ASH wood trim jets out as you move higher and interferes with the extension I asked @ATX_R1S to add for me. You just can't extend the ball straight up.

The joint between the original body and the added extension is too weak as well - easily snapped off. Seems like the extension arm needs to be affixed to the face of the original, and not the top. That would address both issues, me thinks. See attached photos.

So, this model can be scrapped and removed from the cloud.

Noted. I actually thought about the dash interfering, but too late, my order is in production. I will mess around with it when I receive it and see what angle works best. I will try sanding it down if it doesn't need all that much clearance from the dash.

I don't have much input on the software support side but if the fixed arm is an issue it may be useful changing the ball mount to a threaded socket and mating it to an arm like this:

I wanted it higher too. Check out what I did redesigning that 3D printer model.
