Hoping it expands further sooner vice later. CostCo is a common stop on all of our road trips and make sense to feed two birds with one hand.

Yes I know I twisted the original phrase about birds. The primary S driver is a vet so we don't like the idea of killing any animal.

Electrify America stalls are always clogged up with people getting their free 30 minute charge. The Costco ones are even worse. People are pretty motivated by free charging and $1.50 hotdogs.

EA is such a painful experience for so many reasons.

I always though the approved PETA phrase is "feed two birds with one scone"

I've been asking for chargers at every Costco since I first considered getting an EV. I can easily waste 30 minutes or so in a Costco, and would plan my trips around Costco stops if I knew every one had a charger.

Of course now that I have my NACS adapter, I'd prefer if they were Tesla NACS chargers instead of EA.

Looks like just 5 new locations from what I've read (for now)

I assume these are for members only like almost everything in Costco...a slice of cheese pizza and some videos while charging would be great..
Just hit me as I was filling up the ice vehicle at CostCo. Need to work it out so only open to members like they have with gas. Costco chargers by EA.
I assume yes also do they need to scan our card for a discount? Haven't bought gas in forever at Costco but I thought you had to scan your card for the pumps to work.

I avoid EA like the plague and use Tesla only. Tesla is becoming a mess too with all the new manufacturers using them and taking up extra spots. EA is a complete rip off price wise too which is another reason to avoid it.

And the users don't take care of the equipment (or the plugs are too fragile). Back when I used EA exclusively, often find cracked or broken plugs, from clumsy people dropping them on the ground.

Costco parking lots, similar to Walmart are often full and crowded. Taking existing spaces to move to charging will probably annoy ICE drivers. I’d like to see these charges have a more dedicated area similar to the gas stations onsite so feels like a more established commitment and path to grow for the future. Or at least make sure they are farthest spots from the store to limit ICEing.

For the Ridgefield, WA one they definitely thought of this, the spots were right next to the gas station. But that was a brand new warehouse, retrofitting might be more limiting in where they can place them.

Tesla is getting there with more manufacturers having access. I experienced a broken pin and a charging handle/cord laying on the ground in the rain at different Tesla locations this week. I am also cleaning the pins on all Tesla chargers now as a preventative measure to try and reduce the repeated derating I am seeing.
