I saw one of the recent Mach E's with the heat pump, it eats into the frunk space a bunch, was unfortunate to see that tradeoff. Might as well offer it without and then you get easier access to mechanics if needed.
Ford and Chevy have both been making better financing offers which stack with other deals (Ford mailed me an extra $2k off). Rivian is finally offering 1.99% financing, but post-tax credit loss, so who knows how that will net out.
Hardly unique, but this is my first vehicle with ventilated seats, they're amazing. More Rivian specific, the gear tunnel, I use it even more than the frunk.
Thanks, I have your site bookmarked, figured I had a bit more time though :) will watch it a bit more closely when I put the fixed one back on, and maybe just open a ticket, or have them check it out and do the rotation
So I hit a screw and had to swap the spare finally, was a bit of a learning experience, mostly because after putting it into tire change mode and raising the truck up, the suspension just continued to slowly sag? Started taking off the lugs and then realized the thing was in full contact with...
Lots of people charge overnight because it is easy (you aren't using when you are asleep) , and many places have variable electric rates that get cheaper at night. If you don't have that, it is fine I charge during the day all the time, but being able to charge at home is the important bit...
If you're paying for install it's going to be usually 3x the material cost (that's average contractor rule of thumb), maybe more for solar since most everyone jacked up prices with the tax rebates. Panels themselves are less than $1/watt (sometimes way less) and being not grid-tied saves a bit...
Our 2016 ICE Volvo had a similar accident although the whole front bumper ripped off, no airbags deployed, no lights aside from the parking sensors. I drove it home even.
$20k damage, they totaled the car. Rivian is at the worse end for # of certified shops, etc, but prices are up across the board.
There's a little release you have to pinch in on each support (every other car I've had only had that on one side, that's where I got stuck), and I think they're slightly different from each other.
Yeah I get the forward looking mentality, but given the exceptionally slow speed with which the chargers out there update, most folks will most certainly need to have some kind of adapter for the next 5-10 years is my guess.
I put yes because there still isn't another non-full sized EV pickup out there. If there was an electric Ranger/Maverick it'd be a harder decision. Overall I still quite like the Rivian, but there's a lot of little things that could add up to switching if there were alternates.
I would almost guarantee that the upcoming quad will not have a new/larger battery with it. Probably looking at the '27 model year for that sort of upgrade since it seems all their efforts are going into the R2 at this point.
0-30 times I think are really what gives you that pushed back into your seat acceleration. Sport mode on a DMP does improve there quite a bit, but I think it's just the mass of the truck. My Mach E GT still felt faster of the line (and coincidently what caused my passengers motion sickness...
You have to be proactive making the request to service for this, not a good look for them I know. I also got my truck in June, my original appointment was October, but then they hit a part shortage. Filed another service ticket and now booked for March.
Before buying the Rivian I'd rented an F-150 with a 5.5' bed, and a Tacoma with a 5'. I'm sure for some cases that extra space would be helpful, but for what I found, there just wasn't a noticeable difference. The tailgate design works well that I can get plywood/etc in there and tie it down, so...
